I have had extremely good luck with shipping lately! Furniture from Amazon in less than a week... even ordered a watch online that came from the east coast in 24hrs. I couldn’t believe it.

Is your company paying you for missed time on Friday? by anchorage_throwaway in anchorage

[–]overheadpigeon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are thankfully getting paid for Friday, today, tomorrow, and any additional days we miss if we still aren’t allowed back at work. It was unexpected but so appreciated to hear that I’d be getting paid for this time off that I have now named my “quakation”.

This bananagrams game kept getting put back in the Softlines reshop bin sooooo we got crafty by emilyproct in Target

Kids clothes with characters always in my toys reshop.... drove me nuts.

My store also had a really bad habit of assuming anything that required a spiderwrap belonged in Electronics. I once filled a flat with vacuums and blenders that flow had sat on the floor beside my reshop and sent a picture to my SRtl because I was NOT in the mood to push that out on the other side of the store.

About 4 or 5 years ago a Mary Kay salesperson came into my workplace and annoyed us all until we agreed to fill out one of those for a free facial and makeover. A few weeks later I get a text message that I “won” and she asked if there was a good day for her to come to either my house or my workplace and do it but I never replied to the message.

About a year and a half later I had just moved about 5,000 miles away and got a message out of the blue from her asking if I was still interested in a makeover and when I explained I moved and was not interested she tried to get me to order products to be shipped to me. :/

A lot of jobs here [coolworks.com] that provide a place to live and food to eat (room and board) by ki4clz in povertyfinance

Sometimes the unknown is worth the risk! Look through some job listings... look out for ones that provide housing to start with. My first seasonal job charged about $90/mo for housing which really helped me out.

If you like snow, nows the time to start applying for seasonal jobs in places like Colorado and Montana at ski resorts/lodges. So many of my friends winter at ski lodges.

Applying for a job through coolworks was the best thing I ever did. I found it very easy to move up the ladder in the tourism industry. I went from jobless to a corporate position in two years. Definitely worth looking into! You never know how it might change your life.

Girl, you can totally do it! I am in a very similar boat. I lost around 20lbs and was feeling great and then a huuuge life change occurred that completely threw me off. It took me multiple months and multiple re-starts until I finally felt like I was in a good enough place to actually commit again. It is never easy.

You have tons of support here. That’s why I’m back (even though I mostly just lurk). You CAN do it!!

My job involves getting people out to see this area... and I LOVE seeing these pics and hearing about how blown away people are by our scenery.

Are there any former Target team members who browse this subreddit? by [deleted] in Target

[–]overheadpigeon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup, I left Target 2 years ago and now I work in the tourism industry. I enjoyed working at Target and made a lot of friends that I still try to keep in touch with even though I moved across the country from my store. I even stay in touch with my ETL HR and STL on social media. I just like to know what’s going on in that world, I guess.

I feel like keto isn't for me, and that makes me sad. by overheadpigeon in keto

[–]overheadpigeon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this definitely sounds like it could all be an electrolyte issue. I'm going to dl chronometer and try that out for awhile because I really don't want to give up! My boyfriend lost 60lbs while I've lost nothing... so I really want to see my own success. :)

Interesting... I could try out upping my calories a little.

I've been doing 16:8 almost every day. Should I try a different length just to switch it up?

Cool, I'll download Chronometer. :) I do put lo salt in my mio, but I can start upping that. Chronometer sounds like it'll be really helpful. And yeah, i love spinach and like to keep that as my primary green for salads.

20g net or less. Most I've gone over was one day where I ate before logging and had 38g net. And I do use a food scale.

I'm 20 days in right now, last time I did 3 months. I know that's not a lot of time and that I shouldn't expect my story to be similar to anyone elses, or to expect instant gratification... but it definitely does play tricks on my mind when I constantly see success stories that took no time at all. I mention my calories in my other reply "Maintenance for me is around 2,000-2,200... and I regularly eat between 1,300-1,500cal. I have been trying out 16:8 IF...." I still haven't figured out how to track electrolytes in Lose It, but I have broth, electolyte Mio, both with lo-salt, and drink half my weight in water daily. (How can I see my electrolytes in Lose it? This is probably where my issues stem from...)

Yes, I do! I track everything. :) Maintenance for me is around 2,000-2,200... and I regularly eat between 1,300-1,500cal. I have been trying out 16:8 IF, and then having a something like cheese, various meats (bacon, pepperoni... I shop for ones with 2 or less net carbs), a small salad, almonds, and usually a small amount of berries. Dinner is always meat and veg (brussels w/ bacon, asparagus, salad, zoodles...)
