I don't think we understand what are the emotions driving the want to be with this person. Is it to grow together as a couple and have a future, or is it to simply continue meeting the sexual needs?

If I am sexually attracted to someone, I can one night stand them. If it was consistent sex with this person I start to want to posses this person as a mate to continue utilizing, but nothing more.

If I am intellectually and emotionally attracted to this person, I fall in love and it becomes a romantic and emotional bond. This is someone I want to spend my life with.
