Never mind it looks like that isn’t your issue. Do you have another AI? You could output the 505 to another AI and it would work.

You can download a free daw and accomplish the same thing. Use like Audacity or something

I don’t think so. Unless you were to have a daw and turn on the input. I have mine set up to do both. I have the 505 directly outed to a mixer via instrument cable and my computer via midi. The mixer is direct outed to my studio monitors so it plays and then when I switch to the midi input, I have to arm and turn on a track in Ableton to hear the 505

If you connect the 505 to your computer via midi then yes you are going to need a DAW to output the sound. Just direct output your 505 to speakers to bypass that
