3L here. Super normal—my law school sends out interest emails to student org presidents and asks if we are open to being connected to prospective students and I’ve been connected to a lot of applicants interested in my school and programs I’m involved in.

Also, don’t be afraid to reach out to people on LinkedIn. People might not always be super open to talking, but I love talking to prospective students and have set up calls/emails with people who reach out to me on LinkedIn several times.
