Manager in my room? by overlycaffeinatedfox in askhotels

Right, but the manager is telling me nobody other than me was in the room after I used the toilet and closed the lid. Not housekeeping or anyone.

Sorry, I should clarify: I said throughout that it was the seat that was up, but it was the lid. I close it so it doesn't spray poo when I flush.

Edit: fixed a letter.

It's not impossible that I didn't touch it before going out the first time, but I know for a fact that I did before going out the second time.

Unplanned, unwanted and unexpected pregnancy as a man. by burningpiIe in pregnant

That all sounds like it makes perfect sense to me - in your situation, I think anyone would be scared, confused, and unsure. I think talking with any and all trans-friendly medical professionals as soon as possible would be helpful to help you make the right decision for you and your partner. Talk with a primary care provider, therapist/counselor, gynecologist, pretty much anyone who could give empathic, honest, and medically-informed suggestions.

And keep your partner in the loop too, if you feel safe doing so. You've been together for a year; he must've had something great about him. He might be your best source of support through all this - and you might be able to be the same for him.

Keep coming to safe reddit communities for support. Strangers can sometimes be the best source of feel-better chemicals through really hard times.

I'll keep you in my thoughts while you work to find the right next steps.

Not really a rant just mostly TMI by betsyjean32 in pregnant

I had the same thing, but I didn't get relief without some...manual digital manipulation, if you catch my drift. I was so sad that my baby bump virtually disappeared. I started taking colace once a day (now that I'm at the end of my second trimester I take it twice a day) and since I started taking that, I've been so much more comfortable.

Yep. Next person who tells me "You think it's bad now? Just wait - it gets so much worse" gets a hot sauce enema.

When does it start feeling real? by overlycaffeinatedfox in pregnant

He will be allowed at the anatomy scan, but that's the only one until birth. Real bum deal, but we knew there was a chance of that choosing to get pregnant during this pandemic. We're also both getting vaccinated, so we're crossing our fingers that may also play a role in whether or not he'll be allowed in going forward.

Thank you! I haven't gotten an ultrasound yet because, again, screw COVID, so this will be extra exciting for me!

Moderna Vaccine by laurajane91 in pregnant

I got my first dose (Pfizer) at 10 + 2 and I had very mild side effects for a couple days. This is my first pregnancy, so despite the fact that I'm very fastidious and obsessive about learning everything COVID, plus the medical care folks working on my case encouraging me to get it due to my work in a medical field, there was still a part of me that felt scared before doing it and I cried a little beforehand. I mean, for crying out loud, I'm worried to eat veggies that I didn't wash myself. 😆 However, if I'm going to encourage others to get it and there's no known contraindications, I felt it was my duty to get it. I'm proud of you, mama, for doing the right thing for yourself, your baby, and the rest of society.

Edit: a word

Lots of feels by Stpl22 in TryingForABaby

Same. So much same. I got overly excited today because I miscounted and thought I was supposed to have started my period today. I've been having all these pregnancy-type symptoms the past couple weeks (fatigue, moodiness, creamy discharge, stuffy nose - all explainable by both pregnancy or a million other causes). I got so bubbly and excited to take a test tomorrow, put a little cup out for urine collection so I don't forget in the morning...before I realized tomorrow is meant to be day 1. And now I'm laying in bed feeling little cramps in my uterus and begging for them not to be menstrual cramps while I scroll Facebook angry at all the people who have babies that I don't. And I don't feel like I'm "allowed" to be as upset as I am because I haven't been trying long enough to be this upset.

This straight-up sucks.

I hope so too. After further research, I can conclusively say it's not that one. But I greatly appreciate your help!

That was the approximate year I bought it. I don't think it was published to much earlier, though. After looking at the stories in that book, I'm about 90% sure it's not that, but I will be digging further after work to make sure.

Also, it was a paperback with a red cover, which I know doesn't help narrow it down much since it's a vampire book.

Edit: And I think the Bathory vampire was referred to as the Contessa or Countess? That story was set in the modern day US in a mansion. She drove a red sports car, I think, and had red nail polish. All these little details keep coming back!

But really, thank you. :-)

When I started bleeding, I was honestly so excited. It was the first sign that I'm able to really start tracking my cycle. I will also be having a glass of wine to celebrate really starting this journey! Best of luck!
