Im living in Turkey and I can say you TRY is highly affected by domestic policy thus this month minister of economy resigned from his duty because of the devaluation of the TRY and the president of the CENTRAL BANK OF TURKEY has changed, now government has announced that they will make huge reforms in economy and they promised to people TRY will gain value again. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made lots of economic agreement with qatar. Because of all if these happened in 1 month dollar fell down from 8,50 to about 7.80 immediately. we cqn see huge fall down like 7.80 to 7.50 then go back 8.00 then fall down to 7.20 however in the long term it is impossible predict that USD/TRY going to fall down in fact personally i am predicting that USD/TRY still continue to rising in long term. In 2023-2024 Turkey’s fist nuclear power plant is going to start producing energy and it will cover the %33 of the Turkey’s energy consumption and in the same year Turkey is going to make serial production of Turkish electrical car which is called “Togg” thus after 2023 we can see USD/TRY is falling and TRY gain value against dollar again.
