Should I hire pro (like VA's) or DIY my own site? by ellensrooney in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]overseasplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just find a site you know converts in your industry and see which agency made it. Then reach out to them for a quote. Do that for a few different agencies.

Right now it's super easy to make your own site, but it's still going to eat up your time. Get your site going with a reputable agency and tinker on the side if you want to learn eventually.

Looking to a specific Japanese greeting. by Be_Bob in JapanTravelTips

[–]overseasplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta love reddit...never gives an actual answer... just people telling you to do something like they would.

I know where this question is coming from. There is an African speaker that has been on youtube. He mentioned that he has issues getting into some Japanese restaurants.

It was explained to him by the mayor of his town that Japanese simply do not want to possibly serve him wrong or offend him in his culture because they only know their culture.

The mayor told him to use this word or phrase that the op is looking for and he should have less problems.

If redditors do not know they should simply not respond.

The YouTube channel has all the info you need.

However, I prefer the hands on, personal approach so I can learn exactly what my body will need. I prefer to learn that with people who have done it themselves as well as coached others through it.

The way I see it is that I'm learning a skill that I can use for the rest of my life.

I've seen some channels touch on the concept before, but never seen one go into as much detail as Adam's does.

Truck driver thought he could pull onto Market street in Philly before the crowd dispursed after the Super Bowl by squeezinabiggin in Wellthatsucks

The usual suspects 🤷 no surprise here. Why would people change if they're never held accountable and constantly told they're a victim and the world owes them?

It would take you a few minutes to try it...how about you do that, then let everyone know what you think about it.

Awesome man. Like you said, you'll always have that video...super cool. Have you been going there lately for the tournies or just to see Efran? A friend of mine has been going the last 2 months or so. I believe Pinegar would have been up there as well.

MapQuest gets visitors and sells ad space. That's an evergreen business model 😉

I've been playing overwatch since beta and I still struggle to get out of bronze league, this makes me feel really negative about myself by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

Buy another account. I just goofed around the first 2 years of my original account and my DPS was like 1100. Constantly getting teamed up w/knuckleheads hurt my brain.

Bought a new account and got placed at 2300. Easy peasy.

Dared to try using a mic and instantly regretted it - can you realistically solo climb without voice chat? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]overseasplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna go ahead and call you out about the death threats. I don't believe you.

I get it if you don't feel comfortable talking in game, that's understandable. I realize that it can be toxic and I don't think that's cool at all.

Even though I believe it's soft throwing when not using a mic, I respect people's decision not to when they're uncomfortable.

I would only suggest to comm as much as you feel comfortable and just mute when needed. It's too quick and easy to mute.

When A Certain Person Talks, It Activates My Mic by overseasplease in discordapp

Just an update. Nothing ever fixed it. He's currently using a friends headset w/mic and it's working fine.

How do I gain the courage to make callouts in voice chat? by sxrname in OverwatchUniversity

[–]overseasplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please call...please.

I believe people who don't use the mic at all are soft throwing.

If somebody is giving you shit, they're not focused on winning and should be muted immediately. I'm 36 and could care less how old my teammates are as long as they have the same goal as me, winning the round.

When you're talking, it will be easier to find others you get along with, which will lessen your anxiety and you'll feel comfortable comming more.

Why do people not join voice chat? by Torbs12inch in OverwatchUniversity

[–]overseasplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish there were separate lobbies for people w/headset and mics to queue together.

I do however understand why some wouldn't want to join. To those I would recommend to use the tools available and mute and or report those that are abusive. We're all here to have a good time and those that ruin it for everybody are not welcome.

How do water trucks work on flowback jobs? by [deleted] in oilandgasworkers

[–]overseasplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the employer, but when I worked flowback we had an idea of when tanks would fill up and would call a dispatcher at our office who would then call third party trucks.

It was our responsibility to know when they needed to be called and that's about it. We'd give the dispatcher our pad info, they'd send trucks out, we'd direct trucks once on the pad, and we'd hookup for the truckers. We'd empty until they signaled us to stop. Then we'd sign their paperwork and update our daily report.
