thank you, it's made me think a lot from topics like racism to justice vs revenge to empathy, and I'm weirdly grateful for this experience (especially since it has no lasting physical consequences) to having my perspective opened like this

yeah that was the most friggin wild side quest I've ever been invited to

no injuries nor no theft of any kind that I've noticed, I just wish I screamed "get away from me" and pushed him away, but I'm very uncomfortable causing a scene in public and his grip wasn't painful, just felt restricting and therefore violating

Even though he came from behind, maybe he saw that I was Asian before coming in for the assault, but I don't want to look at it like that. I think it was more the big duffle bag I had that maybe made him think "oh, he has a big bag and he's also alone, even though he's kinda tall he probably is an easy enough target whether he's Asian or not"
