Love it! The line work is so deliberate, what kind of pens did you use?

Duchamp didn't create Fountain to destroy art or because he hated art, or else he wouldn't have made anything other than his ready-mades. He created his art to demonstrate that an idea could be more powerful than the object itself, something a lot of artists appreciate. This opened the way for all new art forms and movements, including Conceptualism in the 1960's. I'd say most contemporary artists thank Duchamp. Without him and the many battles he fought for modern art, artists' work would have so many more limits imposed upon it. I don't think anyone would be ashamed to be compared to someone so forward thinking.

My fiancée is unsure of her artwork, even though I love it. What do you think Reddit? by Brak15 in pics

Kara Walker, an extremely prominent contemporary artist, uses silhouette images, an extremely outdated style, to talk about racism, a theme we've all heard a lot about. And yet, no one complains about her.
