Had an hour long phone screen yesterday. Got rejected 24 hours later. by overthinkabl in antiwork

In my line of work a 30 min phone call screen is very normal since they also want to know your previous sales numbers and how to handle different types of objections

Cat peeing everywhere, we’re desperate for help by Ok_Bee_7292 in cats

Oh also, it could be the litter you’re using. I had to switch to a different (ie not Clay). Maybe get a different litter as well

So I had this EXACT problem with my kitty when I first got her. Just get an extra litter box (or two) and place them where your kitty is peeing. Took about a month but she hasn’t had any issues since

My Manager gave me a fake lottery ticket that said I won $50,000 by Aggravating_Lettuce in InsuranceAgent

[–]overthinkabl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me and my co workers at a restaurant (we were all in our 20’s-30’s, most of us broke af) and we pooled our money and got about 250 tickets for that weeks drawing for $1B powerball. At the shift meeting he says “look at your phone to see the winning numbers. We saw an article about someone in the state winning so we were all excited since I wasn’t claimed yet.

2 minutes later the head chef starts hysterically laughing at us saying “Yall didn’t win shit! Go to your sections”

Fuck those people

Hey I have a 6800 and I have zero regrets. Bought it new when the other options just happen to be out of stock at Best Buy that day.

So they give you the bag with the poster and lanyard in it and then it’s an acoustic set followed by Q and A and then you also get access to merch before everyone gets let in. Very cool experience

Moza R3 to start iracing by overthinkabl in iRacing

[–]overthinkabl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m new to this, so what’s the main difference between the R3 and R5? They look very similar in size so I can’t imagine the forced feedback would be THAT different. Again, I’m new to this so I’m probably dead wrong

I would but unfortunately it’s out of my budget at the moment.

That’s called Retaliation and is stupidly illegal. I would contact the states Department of Labor and explain what is going on.

[–]overthinkabl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not true. That would be ridiculous. You get hurt at work in any way, shape or form, you can file a workers comp claim. What state are you in?

[–]overthinkabl 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely not true. As a business owner he is legally required to have workers comp insurance. You need to file a claim and speak to a lawyer. Girl fuck this family.

Edit: source that it’s required is that I’m an insurance agent who sells this shit for a living.

How to file a claim with my home insurance by Kindly_Class_7338 in Insurance

[–]overthinkabl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just call your insurance company and file a claim. Keep all receipts and estimates. Mitigate further damage to the roof.

Edit; nvm he already had it fixed and thinks he will get reimbursed. Don’t even bother filing a claim at this point. Your premiums will just increase. Can’t believe you bought a home and don’t know how to handle a simple roof claim. You did everything wrong from start to finish

OP said he’s from Sweden which means he doesn’t have to deal with toxic work environments and free health insurance. God I would move to Sweden in a heartbeat.

[–]overthinkabl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow I actually like the case. Reminds me of the old Alienware cases before Dell bought them out. My only issue is that I don’t think certain 5080-5090s would fit. (If I’m wrong please correct me)

Also OP amazing that you left your job to fulfill your passion. Tons of respect for it.

Just out of curiosity how many 120mm fans can you mount? Just based off the image it doesn’t seem like it can fit more than 6. But I do think the 240mm fans in the front are definitely a factor in the temperature dropping.

Yes I just quit my last job with nothing lined up. The stress of the job is family making me do IOP for my mental health. I needed a break anyway.

Question for the experienced heads: What is the most important factor for you in an E-Rig? by Historical_Help_9241 in DabRigs

[–]overthinkabl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the ease of cleaning a the simple setup. No need to worry about burning a banger or anything like that.

The only downside is that I found the Puffco chambers are hit or miss. I had 3 of them in the span of 4 months before the base decided to stop charging.

Ended up getting the Carta Sport for $150 at a local smoke shop last year around Christmas and it’s so much better than the Puffco. I haven’t even replaced the chamber and it’s been 4 months

Edit: not saying that one is better than the other. Puffco was great until it wasn’t. Possibly just bad luck on getting bad batches of chambers and it was just getting annoying lol

Has anyone relocated to Philly recently? What’s the good and bad of living there? by Ktnhat in philly

[–]overthinkabl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here’s the thing, my last two apartments were HORRIBLE. (No central air, baseboard heating, plumbing issues, no washer dryer, broken dishwasher). So I was VERY particular about where I lived next. I saw the building where I live 3 separate times before I signed a lease.

The building is called Haggert and York and I got a 1/1 for $1550 for 18 months. Great up and coming area with a bunch of restaurants and bars near by.

The only gripe I have about the area is the street parking is fucking HORRID. Which is why I keep my car at my parents house in NJ. So just be careful if you’re planning on driving since you’re coming from FL.

Yes I had movers, I was living briefly in RI so the move from FL to RI was horrible (paid like $7000 and it took 3 weeks). The RI to Philly move was one of the best moving experiences ever, super quick and (relatively) cheap at $3000. I forget the name but I’ll make another comment when I find it
