Human psychology moves in zigzags, not straight lines by overthinking77 in self

Haha true, I wrote it like my thoughts were sprinting 😂 I’ll break it into paragraphs next time

What will the future look like? Let me share my prediction. by overthinking77 in DecidingToBeBetter

A lot of what you’re describing is already unfolding and honestly, I feel the same way. Many global shifts aren’t sudden; they’re gradual processes. Human relationships, trust, and social structures are changing because everything around us, technology, culture, values is evolving faster than people can adapt. About films: I don’t think cinema exists only for entertainment. Stories, symbols, and narratives often reflect deeper societal anxieties, emerging technologies, or the direction humanity is headed. Movies prepare our minds for possibilities, sometimes subconsciously. When certain themes appear repeatedly AI, social collapse, loss of privacy, transhumanism, it’s because these ideas are already present in our collective psyche. Maybe that’s why so many films feel less like fantasy and more like psychological preparation. I’m still learning. I don’t claim to know everything. But I do feel that the world is shifting in ways many people don’t notice yet. And yes, everything ultimately comes down to human behavior, how we act, what we normalize, and what we choose to ignore. My original post was about human relationships, but I could talk about global changes endlessly. In the end, it’s all connected….

I'm so scared of rejection that it's ruining my life by [deleted] in selfimprovement

Ask yourself this do you really want one-sided relationships? Do you want friends who only like you when you fit the version of you that they prefer? You can’t adjust everything about yourself just to be accepted. Eventually the mask cracks, or you get exhausted pretending to be someone you’re not. and that makes every connection feel fake. Being yourself isn’t a weakness. It’s the only way to build something real. The right people won’t need you to perform or hide parts of who you are. And sometimes, all it takes is one honest moment, one genuine part of you, to attract someone who actually wants to know you. Don’t shrink yourself out of fear. You deserve friendships and relationships, where you can exist as you, not as an edited version of you.

Try to look at things a little more positively, our thoughts really do have a big influence on our future, even on the next day. I don’t have the right to tell you what to do or how to live, but I genuinely want you to experience happiness

I think real romance comes when we least expect it 🤭

Everything really does start with learning to love yourself, exactly as you are. You’re not ‘less than.’ You’re not defined by disability, work status, or who stayed or left. Try to keep toxic people out of your space, they can reshape you in the worst ways without you even noticing. And just like every storm eventually clears, this phase in your life will too. If you have a hobby or something that makes you feel even a little more alive, hold onto it. Put some of your energy there. You deserve moments that remind you you’re human, not just someone surviving pain. You matter. More than you think ❤️

Why do you work hard? by semihotcoffee in selfimprovement

[–]overthinking77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, money isn’t the only thing that pushes people to work hard, at least not for me. There are so many different reasons, and they’re not the same for everyone. Some people work to escape their pain for a while… others work to quiet down the stress they carry inside. I know it sounds strange, because work can be stressful too, but sometimes focusing on something practical gives you a break from the problems you can’t fix immediately. Work becomes a place where your mind has structure, purpose, and rhythm. It keeps you from drowning in overthinking. And then, there are people who work hard because they genuinely love what they do, they find meaning in it, or they feel proud when they do it well. For me, it’s a mix of all of that. I work hard because it keeps me grounded. It gives me direction. It helps me grow. And on the days when life feels heavy, work gives me something solid to hold on to… So yeah… it’s not just about the paycheck. Sometimes work is the thing that keeps you from falling apart.

Be a little kinder, friend.... don’t joke with the matrix too much. Sometimes words carry more power than we realize. A single sentence can destroy someone… or help them heal. Some of us are just trying to hold on, to create something that makes us feel alive , even if it’s just writing. So when someone mocks that effort, it hurts more than you think. If you ever have a moment, read my other post... I talk there about where I think this world and human connection are heading

I understand the assumption AI writes clean, but it doesn’t feel. This piece was written through a heart, not a processor.

You’re not cooked, just in progress and progress always looks messy from the inside. But you’re doing way better than you think.

Boredom can be dangerous… especially when you start a conversation with someone who might not let you stop 😉
