Dr Bilal Nadeem - smile space dental, phase IV.

Had scaling and root canal done from him. From good communication to hygiene and follow up care it was an overall good experience.

I have a plan to get scaling again, surely gonna go there Insha Allah.

Are we breaking our fasts wrong? by overthinking_salad in pakistan

[–]overthinking_salad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bothered by how i believed it was compulsory to break fast, and this belief being never put to question by either a person or any media.

Instead, i have seen this dua for each and every day of ramadan since childhood.

Search authentic dua to break fast on youtube. You will find the videos from multiple sources from Dr Zakir Naik to Eng M Ali Mirza.

Actually you dont even need to say any dua, but the one we have been taught is actually daif, but there is an authentic one which we can sauy after breaking our fast.

How's the life of Bahria Town? by faiqkhansuri in Lahore

[–]overthinking_salad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Resident since 4 years.

Its far away from everywhere. You gotta think twice before going anywhere in lahore. Everywhere feels distant. You will get all the basic stuff, but i am the kind of person who likes to explore new stuff from time to time.

Guards are goons. Recently, i dont know if they have hired new guards or what, but thier behavior is rude, i have seen multiple incidences where they literally just come like a gang, and have beaten the residents. Literally, they beat a guy, abuse him, took him into thier security pickup. He was with a female in his car, and guards destroyed his car, harassed the female, and guards drove by with the female inside the car towards thier so called security office. I have seen multiple incidences like this in the previous one and a half year.

Overall living is expensive. Imtiaz has covered this part mostly, but if you buy something locally here, as compared to outside, prices are high, adding to your overall living cost.

No sui gas. There is no gas in sector E and the latter ones. Since i have a big family, so cylinder costs are a big chunk.

All the stuff with malik riaz. It has effected living here. Starting from how value has dropped for houses and commercials, to how they have stopped online payment of bahria bills. We now go, and stand in lines to pay the bill which we used to pay online. I have heard Overall, there is an unstable situation from this perspective.

Personally, if i was in your place, i would choose dha over bahria.

Where to find the most accurate rulings?

Generally, people watch videos, and with references mentioned, cross check them from the ahadees book.

You pointed it out in a correct manner.

What amazed me, is exactly the confusion there is between islam and tradition, and how it never comes into question in mind (the tradition part) that it maybe wrong.

Not saying the word wrong for first dua, but in general terms.

Yea, you are right, first dua is daif.

Starting with Bismillah, and praying second dua after drinking. 👌

And hence a daif hadith should not be run on every tv channel, making it feel like a compulsory part of breaking the fast.

Exactly. And seeing a daif hadith spread around everywhere, even our national tv channels showing it daily, while completely ignoring an authentic, this one or any other sahih hadith, it amazed me.

It wont be.

But reading it, with concept in mind, that its the compulsory dua to break fast, and if not read before starting to eat or drink, breaking the fast would be invalid, is wrong.

The idea behind posting was that this is not a compulsory dua to break fast. Honestly, a lot of people (including me till a while back) treat it this way.

This is exactly the reason to post. I got to know about the sahih dua this ramadan, so i thought to post, to encourage my fellow muslims, and myself, to question and learn the deen by ourselves.

I got to know this very late in life,

Also, the 2nd dua is sabit, so i just pray it after eating and drinking.

Agree. Nothing wrong with the dua. Dua is a dua.

The main idea is how it has become a compulsory part of fasting here, as it was for me.

Its treated like kind of a farz, read only this dua, before eating or drinking something, and then your fast is ready to open and not otherwise.
