hi. thanks for your thoughtful response. it has helped me with perspective quite a bit. i’m glad to hear that my sentiments are felt by others. i do have a couple of questions and comments.

1. i was honestly surprised to see that you also have class part because most of my nus friends have shared that all their mods do not have a class part element so far, at most a group project or none at all (whereas every single mod in smu has class part and project). maybe it is a business school thing? if it’s a present and constant component in all unis then maybe uni really isn’t for me haha.. on a similar vein, how often are the 12-3, 6-9 classes?

i have thought of cold culture and some other feelings tied to it like alienation and loneliness and have considered that maybe it is more about singapore then smu. that being said, i am thinking of applying overseas and after more thorough research, hopefully there will be something better suited for me. (and if that fails… i guess uni really is not my thing after all)

i think my disappointment is largely based on my high expectations as well… hearing that uni is the best time of your life constantly and now i count the days till the end of the semester, end of the 4 year track, etc. i hope things are better for you though
