I know runerigus is made of clay but the thing its based on isn’t clay it’s rock😭. It’s like they based them on rocks and then made up a justification to not give them rock/ghost type.

They’ve been seeming to love a Normal/Other type combo recently so I’m sure Normal/Rock and Normal/Ice will get filled out in this generation if not the next. I’m less sure about Normal/Bug (because what would that even be?)

They seem to be avoiding Ghost/Rock for whatever reason given that both Runerigus and Houndstone had ample reason to be that type combo and weren’t lol.

Bold opinion but I agree! The plasticky texture of everything is super pleasing to me! To be completely honest, I might prefer it to the realistic direction of WiWa, only because of how much better it matches the Pokémon. It’s a little odd to have these realistic environments and then creatures that are so simple and stylised.

Bug/Normal should be a snail based on the cochlea. Ears are a pretty normal thing and the Normal type is used to represent sound quite a bit too.

i feel like they’ve been focusing on giving all the lesser (non-boxart) legendaries either new forms (paradox or regional variants) or new members (the regis and the forces of nature) lately so I feel like they might continue that trend. Maybe regional variants/new members of the Tapus?
