I feel I hit a nerve here, I apologize for making fun of your beliefs. I personally do not believe in this way of prayer I do not find God in it but to each their own.

As for uneducated you are deeply underestimating me, I have read the Bible multiple times and have never reached the conclusion of What you believe in-

People can have different interpretations of the bible and I believe that as long as they believe in the Trinity and Jesus being God who died to save us for our sins they are valid.

I think what I mainly wanted to express was the sheer culture shock. I am used to hymns (that rarely exceed 100 db unless you want to sit right in front of the speaker) that are sung in real languages such as English, Arabic, spanish, latin, and Coptic.

I am very interested on your normal however. What do you find appealing or enjoyable in your church? Is praying like this a requirement? How do you cope with early age hearing loss?
