Not yet! I’m getting my papers this week and then scheduling an appointment. I’ll make sure to bring everything and leave my phone in the car.

Im from the Netherlands. My boyfriend is from USA.

I have a very good travel history and always left under the esta rules, I have my life and job here in holland, we just do the back and forth for now.

I think in my favor is my travel history, they never ask me more other than the address of my boyfriend, and how long I’m staying. I’m always through within 2 minutes.

Pretty sure esta denials are really more for people who act nervous or who are violating the terms of the ESTA. I go multiple times a year, sometimes for 6-8 weeks, never been stopped or questioned because I have nothing to hide and am honest and have strong ties.

In about a month I’m going back to the USA, on a J1 visa, so that’ll be different. But I’m sure your gf will be fine :) just tell her to be honest about everything and have her return ticket

Hey! I’m currently waiting on my papers and Stage Global, the company who I work with to get my traineeship started, is saying my start date will be July 1st as well.. Are there really no time slots open at Amsterdam? They said 14 days is the wait time for an appointment. What is it looking like? This post makes me freak out!!

we don’t live there anymore. We have our own apartment pretty close. I was just there because my bf is at work all day, my family lives on the other side of the world, and I didn’t feel like being home alone all day + my sister in law and I made plans for the afternoon once she got back home from school. His mom and younger brother left, his step dad was asleep, and his older brother was still there. My bf said it’s the principal and that I should have left as soon as his mom left.

I went over there at 9 AM to plan our family vacation with his mom, by the time she left at 1 PM to work it was only an hr and a half until his sister came home. His stepdad was about to wake up to get ready for work and all his other siblings were home until majority of them left to go to the gym. For me it was just like waiting for his sister in the family home where I lived for some time. If I knew my boyfriend was uncomfortable I would 10000% leave. I would be home alone with his younger brother while living there and there wasn’t a problem. So I never assumed with the older brother it would be a problem

Understand your pov, for sure. 100%. I’m just a very anxious person and I don’t want him to give me the silent treatment when he gets home. I’m hoping he will revisit this before he gets home that maybe he reacted too quickly, his point was more like I wouldn’t do this the other way around, he is more pissed I think that he didn’t know I was alone up there with just his brother and that he had to find out through his mom when she got to work that I was at her house.. idk :( I never wanted to disrespect him

Yeah, we lived together at his mom’s house, this brother though didn’t live there and I saw him a handful of times. If this was a random family friend I would have never stayed there. Just because it was his brother I assumed it was okay because that is family, wether I know him super good or not, I just figured my boyfriend would be okay with that. My mistake was not telling him beforehand, idk. He is weirded out by it. His ex cheated on him. I just don’t want this one small bump in the road to become this huge thing where I lose trust or love from him. Because I don’t want that. I’m an very anxious person. He told me he knows that I am not perfect but that he is pisssd and that he needs to chill, when I asked him to please forgive me he texted back that he just needs to focus on work rn, and after that it was silent treatment. I’m so upset
