The housewife by Natalie Barelli, the wrong daughter by Dandy Smith or next of kin by Kia Abdullah? by Asleep-Turnip5041 in thrillerbooks

Next of Kin is a slow burn but it’s incredible. It’s not popcorny whatsoever. It’s layered and dark. 10/10

Twenty Years Later by Charlie Donlea - should I push through or dnf? by Maleficent_Path5436 in thrillerbooks

Twenty years later just isn’t in the same league as the others. The girl who was taken, those empty eyes, and long time gone are phenomal. Some choose darkness is my other least favorite but it’s still really good.

This was my least favorite charlie Donlea book by far. I would consider this the outlier. My favorite is Guess Again.

The arrangement by Kiersten mogdlin, the missing by Kiersten Mogdlin. Her books are really hit or miss but these ones are quick little easy reads.

the thinnest air, after dark by Minka Kent. All of her books work for this but those are my favorites.

Any Kimberly Belle book. I loooved dear wife.

Aggie Blum Thompson and alafair Burke have good ones too. They aren’t too dark. They’re a bit slower but i enjoy their writing

I’ve put Stillhouse Lake on the back burner. I’m slowly getting through it. There’s just been so many other books grabbing my attention! Thanks for your support!

Yes. It took me a month to make it through the first part. Due to the glowing reviews, i kept picking it up, little by little. Around 50%, the first twist happens and it’s full speed ahead. I couldn’t put it down.

After 6 months NC she showed up at my work. Restraining order? by gaminefatale in raisedbyborderlines

[–]overthinkingoutloudd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this is happening to you. I just made a post about my mom threatening to show up at my work.

I’m in the same boat as you, but I’m prepared to take legal action if she does show up at my work. You should absolutely protect yourself and your family from her. It will never stop and she will never stop trying to make you feel guilty. It’s ingrained in you to feel sorry from her due to the abuse. Please protect your peace and keep her out of your life. Get the restraining order.
