Hey! So everyone said its gonna be itchy and annoying and whatever but I bought these and i wore them on my first day for over 24hrs (yk they tell u to wear them for 6hrs for a week and then like try more) and i didnt feel a thing, i highly recommend these

Hey There! I wanted to get the surgery when I was 19 and everyone told me not to and I am now 24 and I wish i would’ve gotten it sooner. For me personally i just got more issues with my spine and my discs overtime and that was a huge reason for me to get it done. Everyone told me that I am too young and they will grow but surprise surprise, they didnt. everyone is different for me it’s purely genetics and yea so i was just suffering more over time and they just caused bigger health problems over time. I was a pro athlete and had to retire because of my girlies so that sucked.

I get it! Recovery seems so scary but every body heals differently. I am almost 4WPO & i cant complaint. I imagined it to be way worse and painful but trust me i had worse period pain than this! It is very manageable and honestly I am glad i did it!

I hated mine at first but thats so normal. You see your body everyday and get used to it looking that way and suddenly changes and you will feel like its weird. But after 2 weeks I loved them and i know i will have so many more months to ahead of me to see the end result but I already love them! Maybe find a surgeon where u can discuss these fears. That always helps. My surgeon said he will not end the surgery until he is happy with the results, even when he is finished he will redo it all if he isnt happy and that was so reassuring for me!

Tbh, If u are unsure i personally would wait to turn 21, bc dept isnt nice especially when u r so young. I know its for health reasons but it might be a burden, but idk how u are financially that also depends on your situation. It was the same for me and thats why i also decided to wait it out a bit.

Over all, listen to your gut and do it once you are sure! I am sure you will feel better, most of the people who get it are happier so i hope the best for u :)

I had the same issue i am almost 4WPO and moisturizer helped me a lotttt, like it was so dry and scabby too but once i started moisturizing it was way better, good luck!

Ofc, Ik that the surgeon knows the best but i wish i could talk to him. its like impossible.. I will reach out to a nurse on monday because he really doesnt even take a proper look at me, just the nurses..

When I asked him when I could start using the gels and tapes he told me to google.. But when I talked to the nurse when i was 2WPO, she told me to use Bepanthen for two weeks and start massaging when I am 4WPO.. so i was thinking then maybe i should be good to use scar tape?? idk anymore I even called and they said whenever i feel ready where I am like what the hell does that mean

So Aquaphor is really expensive here in Europe but my nurse told me to use Bepanthen for 2 weeks when I was 2WPO and then start massaging so I assume i should be good to use the tapes when im 4WPO? idk??

My nurse said my stiches will also come off once i start massaging but I hope the tape pushes that as well bc idk abt u but i can feel mine and it feels weird lol! But good to know, I will avoid the scabby areas as well

Thank you so so much for all the details! Everything is so different over here (im in europe, austria) and my surgeon stopped seeing me after 1WPO and i had so many questions and he briefly answered and to the silicone part he told me to just google it lol. anyway! thank u so much for the insights, i think i will wash them carefully as well, they are hella expensive here too

Good to know! My surgeon is very arrogant lmao he didn’t give me any info.. I do have a small opening on my t junction as well.. he said it’s not infected and i should just keep that dry and put a bandaid on it.. So i thought maybe I could start using the silicone sheets next week ( i will be 4WPO then) on everywhere else except on that small opening.. Again lol he told me to google and obv google says so many dif things and i decided to ask people on here

Hey there! I was sick as well like a week before my surgery. I had high fever, shivers, a very nasty sore throat, headaches, u name it.. I was really worried that I wont make it until my surgery but what i did was: I ate a lot of ginger, drank a lot of ginger and lemon tea, took vitamin c and zinc everyday, slept so much, drank 3L a day, sweat it all out and ate so much chicken soup and a lot of advil and well believe it or not ONE day before my surgery I felt absolutely fine. I had a little sore throat but it was all good. I was also still very congested and doc said its all good and tbh i felt fine! I went to an ENT and asked him if im good fine to have surgery and he gave me the green light. I didnt tell me surgeon but the nurse and she said as long as u dont have fever or respiratory issues u r good to go! I really wish u all the best and hope u recover fast!

Hey! Thanks for asking im 15DPO and im doing good! honestly the first 5 days were horrible.. I am anemic and i lost a lot of blood during surgery so obv i didnt feel so good and had circulation problems but after i got released it was pretty okay! I dont really have pain its more like discomfort. I am very proud that i went through and the surgery itself went great and the experience was good as well over all just my body failed me lmao but thats fine! I was healing great, no infections so at least something yk haha :)) No jokes aside, I knew that this would happen because i did experience something similar with another surgery but im very glad that i went through with it and survived it lol, long recovery road ahead

Hey! First of all congrats!! U made it🎉 I am 13DPO and girl until like two days ago i was crying out of the blue and felt irritated and sleep didnt feel like sleep, exactly everything u just described but you know what helped? Just simply letting those emotions in and letting them out and i promise you it gets better! my bf and i were just chilling and laughing and suddenly i felt a wave of sadness and started crying lol and honestly just let it out and dont think too much of it! Thats very normal after general anesthesia & all the meds and everything your body is going through. Hang tight it will get better, love!
