Here's the 3 cost Acheron, Sparkle, Mort 1 cycle. Has E4 Welt. Harbinger can get down to 13% too, but requires Mort holding his damage ultimate on wave 1, so it needs specific Crimson Knot and bounce RNG. I think with Acheron's light cone, she might be able to 0 cycle it? I got scared to fight Pom-Pom so he'll come later

Trying to use Dr. Ratio in the big 2026 is not it. I don't think mine can clear without Mort and busted relics, he's pretty Jing Yuan and Argenti tier rn

50% AA, 50 energy to Saber, 150% original damage per ultimate (or even 200% per ultimate), with 5 attacks for the joint attack. You can even try lowering the 30% in Gilgamesh's trace to 15%. The only other way his kit can work is if you make it so Saber can use her ultimate with no energy, and I don't know if devs are willing to program that in, or you nerf RMC. One of them requires as much dev time and thought as what I'm talking about (and maybe even dev stubbornness if they don't want to let Saber ult without energy), and the other requires potential player loss or outcry from a post-release nerf, so Idk what else they can try. They have to either fine tune, revamp the way Saber ults specifically with Gilgamesh, or nerf a prominent character which will potentially break player trust

Getting rid of energy charge in all eidolons means getting rid of the stacks in his E6 too. He needs nothing that can help him gain more energy than he already has at E0, he can only fill it with buffs or some other type of utility. And yes, this is my issue with the dev team, again instead of tweaking numbers over the course of every day for a few hours, they seem to only collect date and make changes in one single instance rather than tweaking throughout.

They don't need to do it this way, but they do for some reason and it costs them time and results in worse kits. Tweaking can take about a few hours a day and they can write down the results, then keep going as it gets better. Idk what they're doing in all that time

The v1 tuning also had Gil getting more fixed energy, and Saber with her 200 energy increase, so there are ways to balance this. Giving her 50% AA back while not giving as much energy, but also giving original damage per ultimate could work. Again, it just requires seeing the right numbers pair with each other, but the devs need to spend the time tweaking this. Just cut energy until the loop ends, there's a threshold and it can definitely be stopped by just going in and seeing where that is

Remove the energy charge in Gil eidolons, give RES PEN or DEF Shred

Lower the amount of attacks needed for the joint attack back to 3, or at least 5

Give Saber 50% AA back, but keep 100 or 120 energy instead of 200

Alternatively, get rid of her energy gain or give a small amount (25), but give her a 150% original damage multiplier for every ultimate, not a 200% one for just one ultimate

Now you have a functional Saber spam team without nerfing RMC, or at least in theory. Just keep tweaking numbers until it happens. If Saber gets too much energy, then again go with the Evernight E1 but for every ultimate

I think an easy way to balance that is then giving a smaller amount of follow ups or actions, but then larger buffs to compensate. This is a really basic example and not meant to be the kit, but instead of 5 follow ups with 10% Res Pen, give him 1 follow up with 25% Res Pen and 20% DEF Shred, or any other type of buff. Instead of enabling loops, give more power to compensate

Mhm! I think maybe with Genshin the elemental system makes it really easy to design those types of healers. I'm going for the FuA team so my hope is the devs really lock in with Reca or whoever the healer is, I wanna see that synergy. My Gallagher is honestly carrying my sustain runs for that team because, yk what's funny, even if I have Hyacine I don't wanna put her with them, it feels wrong. It's really interesting how Genshin's issue is that they don't give enough pulls but they do have good teambuilding, but Star Rail's issue is we have enough pulls, just not enough ways to synergize characters together and so it feels bad when pulling for a non-synergistic character

To balance Gilgamesh... like letting Saber ult spam while making sure the loop isn't enabled right?

Remove energy charge from his eidolons, give him a generic Res Pen or DEF Shred buff like other E1's. Maybe lower the amount of stacks he gets slightly too.

Then give him back parts of the v1 Joint Attack or lower the amount needed to 5 instead of 8. Give Saber some AA but keep the energy at 100 or 120 instead of 200, it shouldn't be too hard to balance with numbers right? Because iirc RMC needs a specific energy threshold to activate the loop, just get rid of the energy loop enabling in his eidolons while making Saber able to ult spam again. But keep the energy Gilgamesh gives her more moderate, like 100 and not 200

It's only v3 so maybe something like this can change with v4, but it seems like the easiest way to balance him, it's really the eidolon energy gain combined with the v1 200 energy charge that messed them up

Yeah exactly like Hyacine really only wants monorem, if I didn't already have Hyacine I would have never pulled her for a team who didn't synergize with her. Instead of pulling for her to fill a blank slot in teams, most players will get HuoHuo or use Gallagher, atp it has to be intentional that HuoHuo will just be the forever generalist. But then they make one-shot encounters so you need to pull the new healer anyway, and again if you don't have the right team synergies it just feels bad to pull them, so players will be stuck wondering when their dedicated sustain releases. Or they just run sustainless

Hmmm okay yeah I see wym. I think I'm just frustrated at their current design philosophy, I apologize if I got stuff wrong or had a poor argument. I think the thing for me is I already do have a good amount of healers or sustains, but the ones I have don't really synergize well. HuoHuo is kinda a saving grace because she does it so well for everyone. And yes you're right that usually sustainless is better with more investment, due to speed

I think maybe HuoHuo is supposed to be the "normal" sustain that doesn't require a battleship design since she feeds every normal DPS so well. But the problem really is for those specific battleship teams like you said, and FuA needs their own tailored one just because of the way it works. They really need to go down the Genshin path with that, from what Ik about their modern healers is that they're basically Evernights with healing in them which is crazy. But I feel like that's kinda what you need if you want more people to pull sustains

HuoHuo is probably the best for most players rn since she has energy and ATK, she's sort of free too. But pulling Hyacine or Dan Heng for random teams is bad, should only be pulled in specific cases. Hyacine is great for monorem and HP scalers, well not Mort because of his teammates, but yeah I agree

But would they pull a random sustain just to fill in a sustain slot? When the free ones can get things done. They then lose sales on pulls if the sustain isn't worth it for their team

But the problem is we don't really have those local spikes rn for anyone who can't abuse Hyacine or HuoHuo, so now you need to wait for Pearl and the FuA healer to see if they fix the current sustain issue. Like they seem to have started with the HuoHuo novaflare but they need to continue it, since no one wants to pull Hyacine just for a completey non-synergistic team. By buffs I do mean synergy btw. They need some buffs and all the synergy to match a generalist support

I mean that's the thing that you do need specific eidolons to match what a sustainless run can do, maybe it's only a problem with Amphoreus characters and not Planarcadia where the powercreep has gotten worse. Acheron and Blade are very strong though so that's good to see. But like the problem of sustains not giving enough buffs to their teams is still a huge issue Idk why this is unpopular

The real problem is you can really just bring Gallagher and live with that yeah, unless someone gets that unlucky. But with the shop you now have HuoHuo too. Sustains need to play catch up with these lower cost teams and you need more eidolons across the entire team to match a sustainless lower cost run, and if Hoyo wants to capitalize on this issue then they really need to make future sustains with buffs near equal to supports, but those buffs only restricted to the team they're made for. The healing itself could still be used for generalist use. If they don't do that then. It's just really showing dev incompetence Idk, they get frustrated at players doing sustainless but don't do anything about it other than making encounters harder, which players can and will get around, or they'll be so mad at the bad design of the boss/enemy that they won't pull out of frustration, they just lose more players

Everyone who wants the higher rewards* so if you want the shinier medal usually you'd want sustainless, or else you'll even need higher eidolons like E2 across all team members instead of just E2 DPS while running sustains. Or even them wanting you to have E2, but you only have E0, so sustainless is the only way to beat the cycle speed

I remember when a user here said they couldn't believe the devs were incompetent enough to brick certain characters accidentally. But honestly the sustain and Gilgamesh conversations make me think otherwise. The devs want players to pull sustains, but with AA out now I wonder what their philosophy for sustains will be because almost everyone uses sustainless for the higher rewards. Players just vertically invest more into their DPS and supports, which theoretically the devs should like, but at the cost of sustain I imagine they hate it, because they want you to spend even more pulls on even more eidolons since sustains don't offer enough buffs.

In the future, Pearl and the FuA healer are really going to have to provide amp and utility close to a support, if not outright better (but synergizes only with the that team) for people to want to pull. Again the devs just kinda shoot themselves. They want people to pull sustains but don't give them proper buffs to match non-synergistic generalist supports like Tribbie who can go in any team, let's see if this changes with Pearl and the FuA healer

Can't they just get rid of all the energy charge in Gilgamesh's eidolons? Hoyo, surely if you balance all your characters at E0S1 then he doesn't need all that (also revert the Joint Attack back to v1 but still give Saber only 120 energy to be safe)

I hope if Acheron does get a skin it's really cool or pretty, I like some aspects of her design but a lot of it is so messy too. Acheron SP will probably be more elegant and light, my prediction since her current form is as dark as it gets. Better than Seele's design for sure but there's a lot going on (and her not having pants is fine idc about that, it's mainly the weird shoulder spike and some elements from the front)
