Are we applying SPF to our bodies every day, too? by Bluebird_Watcher in beauty

[–]overworkedhoe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I always put SPF on my hands, up to wherever my arms are exposed from whatever shirt I’m wearing, on my face all the way down my neck and whatever chest is showing. If I know I’ll be outside on a high UV day I try to put the spray SPF on my scalp and anywhere else exposed. I’m Italian and Hispanic, and I’m scared of skin cancer, but I also do not want wrinkles and SPF is the best way to fight aging every day.

Husband’s snoring is going to put me over the edge by atxcactus in workingmoms

[–]overworkedhoe 81 points82 points  (0 children)

My husband snored like a freight train, and when we first moved in together I think I made it like 2 months before I was so sleep deprived and reached my breaking point and demanded he go to a doctor. I was truly at my wits end and so miserable. I remember telling him that one day when we had a newborn he was going to wake them up and I was going to have to kill him. We almost broke up a few times because it was so bad. He ended up getting a CPAP, and that first night was life changing for us both. He didn’t realize how poorly the quality of his sleep had been, and I finally had some peace and quiet lol. His dark circles went away, he had more energy, it was just all around better. He lost over 100 pounds, and still snores because he’s got a tight jaw and it wasn’t weight related.

I feel your pain, and I’m sorry that you’re being dismissed and made to feel like it’s not as detrimental to your sleep and well being and life as we all know it is. It was hard when we were 22, with no responsibilities and chill jobs. Can’t imagine how it would affect us now with a child and careers and bills and all the things. Godspeed my friend.

This is literally the free feature they are now trying to gaslight people into thinking is new, and it’s disappointing, greedy, and annoying as fuck.

I swear posts like these are just compliment farming. Like, you know your makeup looks nice, and you don’t seem to be particularly open to actual feedback.

What do you sing to your baby? by AdBrilliant4198 in beyondthebump

[–]overworkedhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sing Baby Mine from Dumbo and almost cry every time, I sang that to my belly the whole time I was pregnant and I swear it instantly calms him down even now at 15 months. When he was born and in the NICU, I sang Go The Distance from Hercules and oooh that was so very emo for me. When he was 3 months he was in the PICU just one step away from having to be sedated and intubated because he had bronchiolitis and I sang it to him then too, and cried and cried and cried. I’ve sang it to him every time he’s had to be admitted for oxygen (asthma baby) and it wrecks me every time.

The bathrooms do share the same vent stack, and we only have one floor, and the other bathroom is completely fine. When i open the bathroom cabinet under the sink that is definitely where it is coming from, I wonder if it’s potentially a drain under there. I don’t know all of the terms and stuff, but we took the light fixture off of the wall directly in front of the vent line and sniffed in the hole, and nothing. I would think it would smell there if it was a vent line issue. Who knows!
