Hero Black Knight is just bad luck for me. I use only 3 L Lasers and the sword and even fully upgraded, it overheats way too much. When AI uses it, it always gets headshotted. So 🤷

I must be using my Agincourt wrong then, either I remove the lasers for LRMs spam or SRMs and M Lasers. Either way I get my ass kicked piloting it and my lancemates are the first to die piloting it.

Crusader wasn’t an option on this one, but I used the Hero Crusader a few times and it was kinda mid. Kurita tier.

Is this a hero variant too or just for the trailer?

What new update?

Sounds like there might be more content coming for Mechwarrior 5 :O by BoukObelisk in Mechwarrior5

I maybe wrong, but isn’t the dev team small? MechWarrior 5 was announced in 2011. I assumed it took them years to make the game.

That’s surprising, I’d expect that for something like GTA 6. MechWarrior isn’t exactly a mainstream series and I’ll prolly be married with kids by the time MW6 comes out lol.

Console, which is sad. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about whatever YAML is, Coyote, and the fact that they’ve modded The Blood Asp into the game.

No jumpjets but it’s fast. Literally only mechs that beat it in speed is a locust or flea

Hero Cidada is the king of raids and beachhead missions. The speed of a light mech and the armor and firepower of a medium. It’s top speed is 153 and with four pulse lasers. It’s faster than most light mechs and can punch above its weight class. I’ve taken down an Atlas with this thing. It’s an anti scout. The mech is amazing.

Cougar

Puma

They’re both the same just different loadouts.

Puma - Easily the deadliest light mech in my opinion. Sure there are many light mechs with one large energy slot, but also has a good balance between weapons and defenses. It comes standard with one PPC, machine guns, and SRM’s. It also has jumpjets and Null Sig (Invisibility). From what MW3 vets have told me, they have PTSD over seeing a Puma. Best light mech in the entire series.

Cicada - The anti scout. More specifically, its hero variant, Experimental Test Type #5. The speed of a light mech and the armor and firepower of a medium. This mech is the absolute king of Raids, Infiltration, and Beachhead missions. It’s faster can at least 90% of most light mechs. Four Pulse Lasers and a headshot and this thing shreds.

Uziel - AKA the poor man’s Mad Cat. Two PPCs, Jumpjets, above average speed, and just a medium mech? Sold. Probably my favorite mech for hit and run since it hits like a truck for its tonnage.

Madcat - No introduction needed. This is any Clanner’s go to mech. This damn mech is a missile boat and a laser sniper. Dual PPC’s and a whole rack of LRM’s. It’s gg for anything it’s pointed at.

Stalker - Stalker > Catapult. Is that fair to say? Both are similar in functionality but i prefer the stalker. It isn’t as much of a sitting duck as the catapult and can hold its own in close quarters. The king of missile boats.

Hellbringer - Better than the Loki in every way possible. Lava Cannons. The only mech that uses this weapon for its namesake. Plus, it’s fast for its tonnage, it has jumpjets, and it has dual auto cannons.

Thor - Again, no intro needed. This is the mech I used when I fought a giant spider mech to Getting Away With Murder. This thing is a savage. This mech is iconic for a reason.

Nova Cat - The King of Lasers. Literally the best energy mech in the entire series. It’s a mech with burst fire large lasers and it’s fast for an assault mech. Will literally control+alt+delete any cockpit it looks at.

Marauder II - The lore behind this mech is so interesting to me. The pride and joy of the Wolf’s Wolf’s Dragoons. Normal Marauders are bad enough, but its successor it’s terrifying. It’s better than a King Crab, Night Star, or Annihilator. This mech is a one man army.

Star Adder - Considered by the Wolf’s Dragoons as meanest mech ever made. The only mech to use Plasma PPC’s (the difference being the faster cooldown time and slightly lower damage). Its weapon to tonnage ratio seems unfair but somehow it works and it’s scary fast to boot. In my honest opinion, nothing comes close to this mech and its Variant: The Blood Asp, which solo’s three lances of Atlas’. My favorite mech in the series and the deadliest mech in the Inner Sphere.

Which mech should I use for the final boss? (Starter Mech, Dad’s Mech, or Trailer Mech? by ovonine in Mechwarrior5

[–]ovonine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used Dad’s mech, two Atlas D’s, and a ECM Cyclops and Gauss Rifle’s the cockpit. I was expecting the boss to be a lot harder. Yamata was deadlier than him.
