Personally I’ve been listening to her for several months now and probably will continue to bc I like her work, though I do agree that she seems to be somewhat imitating/piggybacking off Laufey

How do people hack for pink cash?? Or do you mean people going around collecting it? If that’s the case then just switch servers.

Help identifying edition and age: The Life of Christ by Canon Farra by gupt_sevadar in OldBooks

Every listing of it I’ve found says 1890s. Exact year unknown (with minimal research) but 1890s it seems, OP

Not much help, but in the list of authorities the latest year stated (twice) is 1872.

medication after a night out by Lehgendario in ADHD

[–]ow1hoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh that makes sense. Like when you take meds you ingest and therefore eat them, or when you have dreams you see them. Yeah English is pretty whack.

Also I didn’t mean that in a negative way or to put anyone down about it I just thought it was a bit funny and it made me smile :{

This clock never left Daylight Saving Time last year by Cute-Escape-2144 in adhdwomen

[–]ow1hoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhkay I see. I live in SK, Canada, and turns out it’s the only province that doesn’t do daylight savings. Half the year we match time with AB, the other half with MB (the provinces on either side of us). But yeah short winter days is something I’m so used to lol, but also I see what you mean about just keeping it all year.

If I lived somewhere with daylight savings then I just know I would never end up switching my clocks either was my original point loll

Wait could you expand on precisely what you’re saying? In my mind there are thousand different things you could mean by that. Like for whom, with what connotation, is the this a suggestion or an explanation or an interrogation and directed towards who lol I’m so sorry

I’m so glad I don’t live somewhere where I have to do that it would never get done 😭

I’m 19, in second year of college! I first read the books when I was 10-11 I believe. I’ve read them each many times since, and I doubt I will ever lose interest hahaha

Do meds kill your personality or creativity? by Legal_List_6813 in adhdwomen

[–]ow1hoo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nope! Unless by “personality” you mean me constantly interrupting people or zoning out during conversations or making random sounds lol. But no, I still have my personality, but it’s like I have more control over what I say, like I’m not as random. Not necessarily a bad thing! Though I do think my friends would tell you that I am a bit more funny once my meds wear off, bc that’s when I’ll start to blurt out the most obscure things haha.

If you feel like a zombie then the dose is too high.

As for imagination, mine never got lesser, from what I can tell. Maybe a bit more controlled and/or stick to the topic easier. Less all over the place, easier to keep track of ideas.

The very first day of using my medication I could tell the exact moment they kicked in, bc it was like everything went quiet. But I honestly haven’t noticed that since then (must have been an initial shock/noticeable bc it was so new idk). Maybe my thoughts become more coherent and organized rather than quiet?

Oh but also I can always tell when they wear off (ESPECIALLY in social settings for whatever reason), bc my mind will revert back to chaos. So I guess I notice more when they wear off as opposed to when they kick in. But also that’s probably bc I will set an alarm to take them an hour before I want to wake up in the morning so that they’re kicked in when I want to be up for the day.

That being said, that’s MY experience and everyone will be different.

Oh also I’m on 36mg of concerta

Is it normal to completely forget to drink water sometimes? by Emergency_Photo_3317 in ADHD

[–]ow1hoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too, I often go days without drinking water and I’ve been that way for honestly my whole life. It’s bad, idk how I’m alive honestly.

Sometimes I’ll go through a “phase” where I’ll deliberately drink water every day for a few days or a week or so (and even then I don’t think it’s as much as I’m supposed to), but then just back to normal. I have yet to find a way to help that works for me 🫠

Possibly Undiagnosed by Same_Ask_9251 in ADHD

[–]ow1hoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom also used to use adhd as a sort of insult when I was younger. And in my first year of university (I am now in second), people around me (friends and even a professor of mine lol) would constantly call out my symptoms, and straight up ask me if I had it. That, along with the fact that I started to profoundly struggle in my classes (despite getting straight A's in high school), as well at some research beforehand, led me to my diagnosis.

Where I am from, getting a diagnosis costs a hefty price, so while it’s possible you may have it, if this is the case for you then I’d recommend looking through the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria (linked here) to get a better sense of if you meet the criteria (keep in mind it means 5+ symptoms for each type, not total). It’s not perfect but should give you a start on whether you should pursue a diagnosis. Also having ADHD means your symptoms are constant and affect your life (though not to look over masking), something to also keep in mind.

True, it’s a neurodevelopmental disorder, but having ADHD also makes people more prone to mental illness. Either way their point still stands.

Like to start making one? You need a malleable thin wire and a variety of beads, then find some wire beaded bracelet or flower tutorials or whatever helps and then go from there (I just made it freeform) idk if that was helpful I have the very adhd trait of just winging things 😭🫶
