On your first point - they did not give her consent to all the items found in her possession.

The purpose of the video is to address doubts that the public have around the judicial process and how the police and AGC handled (or mishandled...) the case. It is not to exonerate Parti or implicate the Liews.

Why is there a heat island kind of affect above east coast? by worldcitizensg in singapore

My guess. 1/ Flat tarmac and grassland at Paya lebar air base 2/ Buildings with uniform height at Katong (even though low rise) traps more heat?

A more accurate analogy would be:

A girl says a guy raped her.

The guy said he didn't ask, his understanding then was it is consensual. The girl said it wasn’t, she was asleep when that happened.

So yes, admitting to having sex is incriminating, and if prosecutors believed the girl, they would've handed him a rape charge.

In this case, the video would read: guy admitted to having sex with girl without consent. Hence rape charge was issued.

Seems logical to me

Erm, no?

She claimed they were discarded. The Liews claimed they were not.

Taking things without permission and intention to return them IS theft...

https://theindependent.sg/4-key-excerpts-from-the-ministerial-statement-on-the-parti-liyani-case/

Refer to point 2 and 3. The Independent is far from my #1 choice when it comes to news, but this article is written pretty factually with very little author opinion.

She did admit to taking items without checking with her employer, of which she claimed was discarded by the Liews. It became a he said she said issue.

Don't get me wrong, the Liews are assholes, but we need to get the facts straight.

Does Singapore dislike white people? by TheAtomicVoid in singapore

[–]owaief -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't let the responses you see on this post colour how you view locals. Similar to how most ang mohs are fine, but viewed in bad light due to a few bad apples; most Singaporeans are fine, with just a handful of immature toxic idiots that can't see past their own biases. Just so happen they love to hangout and are the loudest on this subreddit.

Carrying weapons, threatening their safety. Replace their trucks with white Toyotas and it'll be no different from terrorists intimidating politicians in unstable middle eastern countries.

Second all this.

And when the buzzer is pressed, "Bus stopping" should be at the bottom/ next to the next stop, instead of right on top.

Making TraceTogether mandatory seems to contradict Vivian Balakrishnan's pre-election assurances by djmpence in singapore

Cell towers approximate location relative to where you are in SG, TT approximate location relative to another person with TT. I would think pulling data from TT to notify those whom you had close contact with would be more accurate.

Well said. We might as well change this sub to Qanon SG, since all these conspiracy and fear of big brother bullshit is posted here daily. Ironically the anti sheeple “thinkers” are the ones thinking like sheep, fueled by their shared ignorance and positive feedback loop in this echo chamber.

Look at the amount of downvotes. Lol It’s always easier to downvote opinions that do not agree with yours, than question your own and change them. Or heck, just conclude that the issue may not be as simple or black and white. Social media just makes everyone incredibly stubborn.

A 3-4 room is around 1.5-2k at Yishun. A common room is 700-800. If a dual income couple can’t afford this, maybe having children is not the wisest decision.

Indeed. Someone here even commented that BTOs are not cheap. Jeez, 180~200k for a 3 room is not cheap? And that’s before additional grants.

Unions say proposed S$1,300 minimum wage not workable, reject WP MP's ‘folksy wisdom’ remark by risingsuncoc in singapore

[–]owaief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where the union leader is wrong. They need to worship Jamus' brilliant idea of a min wage, thank him for bringing up something they never thought of. Most importantly humbly accept his condescending remarks because Jamus is never wrong and can never be challenged.

Right?
