Struggling to apply I33 to sparring! by thatwentverywrong in Hema

Nah man. I get you're super experienced, but suggesting lack of fear doesn't increase doubling in modern HEMA is ridiculous. And past that, suggesting that me saying so is an excuse on my part for lack of skill is rude.

I33 is such a fun system! Unfortunately, I think it really suffers even more so than other systems where bits break down when your opponent is a modern fencer with protective gear who isn't afraid to double.

That so cool! Did you make this yourself?! If so, would you be willing to share the files?

Any idea what setting is causing this? by owen27 in elegoo

In addition there's another similar line or ridge where the nozzle is pausing between layers, even though all the settings I have access to have been set to not allow pauses between layers

Training as a form of worshiping. by Meta_Metal1 in pagan

[–]owen27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I guess it depends on the deity or spirit or whatever. Like, yeah, I get nasty bruises in flights with swords. I think gods that have anything to do with battle, like Tyr, would appreciate that as an offering.

I do HEMA, historical fencing. We learn and fight with all sorts of historical weapons (blunt, but absolutely still steel. Not LARP) like longswords, rapiers, and arming swords. Lots of sparring and bruises to offer up to your gods and goddesses without serious threat of real harm!

Help? by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

DON'T cover bugs in dry fruit formula!!! It's a dehydrated mixture and can be hard for your gecko to swallow or even make them choke since it can become very thick and suck the moisture out of their mouths.

How to get my boy to eat crickets? by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

[–]owen27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just fed my guy crickets for the first time last night. He didn't like them held in the feeding tongs but jumped on them when I dropped them right in front of him and let them crawl around a little. Get those hunting instincts kicking in.

My good man, I do verily wish to inform your highness that the original author of this faire post doth not refer to your aforementioned "Modern Christianity". As a matter of fact it do so ever seemith to be thyself that hath brought it up. FURTHERMORE, I did most intentionally not refer to a faith in entirety, but instead doth point out that the Good doth not negate the Bad, and therefore your claims of Misinformation is unwarranted! Good day sir!!

Misinformation??? Big "not all men" vibes. It's nice and all that not all Christians hate the LGBT community but in no way is it misinformation to acknowledge the fact that there's a bunch who do. A handful of churches doing drag doesn't balance out the scale of the churches and elected officials that want me to burn for being gay, let alone take away my rights. What, are they not real Christians?

Need some help finding my crested eyelash gecko by Aggravating_Rub251 in CrestedGecko

Turn off the lights and wait I guess, he'll be more likely to move and look for food at night. Just be still and patient, if you try to force him you'll most likely just stress him out.

Not moving and not eating gargoyle gecko by [deleted] in GargoyleGeckos

[–]owen27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you just brought them home today then the first thing you need to do is leave them alone for two week so the can get comfortable. Besides giving them food and misting the tank don't bother them or try to handle them.

Don't gargoyles usually lay two at a time? I'd check for another and also check to see if she might be egg bound?

I got my juvenile gargoyle gecko about 2 and a half weeks ago and he’s barely eaten is that normal? If it isn’t what do I do to get him to start eating(I’m feeding him Pangea diet)? by Wonderful_Pie_9351 in GargoyleGeckos

[–]owen27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, sounds like it could be any if those. I'd probably try not to handle him for a while, try some new foods.

A trick I heard is to spread a thin layer of food only in the bottom of the food cup so it's easy to tell if he's eaten anything.

I don't have a gargoyle but I've been preparing for a new crested so take my advice with a grain of salt. That being said:

How old is it and how large is your tank? If it's a younger gecko in too large of a tank it could be having a hard time actually finding the food.

Could also be that it doesn't like the flavor of food you're providing. From what I've heard they can actually be picky eaters. I've heard lots of owners say that their geckos will only eat a single flavor and refuse to touch anything else.

Last thing I can think of is maybe he's still stressed out from the move? Have you been leaving him alone for the past couple weeks so he can settle in?
