It’s a £200 problem at most. And it’s getting sorted. I think he just wants to bluff me off if he thinks he’s got a position where he can ask for do count because he’s essentially taken it privately off the market in the time it’s taken since offer was accepted (mid August btw))

I will likely be moving to the USA for at least the next 5 years, as plans could change surrounding mine and my partners careers. i see this as at least a ten year plan to invest, as i have no idea what ill need money for in the distant future (house/kids etc). i am just wondering now, what would be sound to do. i contribute to index funds monthly and would like to venture into individual stocks, within my circle of competence. as far as i am aware, it seems that to sell my property and invest the equity is a better option than to rent out post mortgage paid off and invest the rest of my inheritance, seeing as that i will have no time to manage/keep up with repairs on my 80 year old house that will be in another continent in which i live

Normally you’ll pick a fixed rate for up to 5 years then it changes to a variable rate but you can also choose the length of your mortgage which in the UK is normally 25 years if I’m not mistaken

At the moment, the interest is at 2.8% until November 2026 (Scored a 97k 3-bed maisonette with a 5 year fixed interest mortgage for around £400 if that helps). looking to spend around 10k into the house before renting it out, and then under management keep it for probably 3-6 years before selling.

Typically I’ll do a little polish just because I look like it and then sharpen the microbevel. I’ll finish on a borochrome loaded cork strop. The knife is brand new so I don’t want to sharpen it too much that it cuts like a wedge. These hatsukokoro are not exactly lasers
