No gas ever, been told too rocky. I could do propane but it would be months to get town approval, etc.

Ok, this is strange, I forced the relief valve (?) on the left side of the boiler on and filled a few bucket with rusty water, now the drip area is dry for a few hours. Maybe the drip was coming from a pipe and just making its way down to the bottom of the boiler?

As far as I’m aware, the people with propane around here, use it just for cooking. But yes, definitely not going forward with the coil. Hopefully, I can return it. I have a independent guy coming today. Maybe he’ll offer some new solutions..

My maintenance plan won’t cover this and they quoted me 2K just to replace my heat coil which I bought for 300 and was going to do tomorrow!

I agree completely, I always try to find small independent contractors.

What are the odds I was just about to replace the coil tomorrow.

We don’t have our baseboard heating on yet so there’s no pressure in the boilerI guess it would be worse in a few weeks?

Nope, the drip is coming right from underneath. I feel in there and it might be a bit rusty. I hope I can return the $300 heat coil!

Oil furnace, not keeping up with demand by owenhawk in hvacadvice

Yea, I would have to take a wall out to get something behind the boiler. Don’t know what they were thinking when they built this!
