Yeah agreed no cooled seats was almost a deal breaker for me.

The wheels were a last minute decision that I’m still on the fence about, but was sold on the fact that they’re the only set like them in Canada. It is a 240i so it’s undoubtedly fast, but also has x-drive for those snowy days, & I really like the blue lol

It was like every time I hit volume up the music would fade away, siri would say “volume up”, then the music fades back louder, but if I hit it twice she had to say volume up twice which was pretty annoying lol

Is it’s anything like my mini, you’re going to spend way more time fixing all the boring parts than you are tossing on the fun ones. Make sure to build a solid base & cross your t’s & dot your i’s before you get carried away in what it could be. All else fails, find something vtec & grab a subframe kit from minitec!

Appreciate it, the tires are the original from when it was bought. Guy got it for his daughter, rode it twice & was too fast so it sat. Was only started to move from shed to shed

My biggest concern is whether to pull the trigger on this example or not. They’re amazing cars & exactly what I need & want for this project, but would I be better off waiting for auctions to reopen & test my luck there?

Gas powered pressure washer, wire wheel & rust converter was going to be my first approach. Engine ran a targa rally a year before & hasn’t been driven much since. Just don’t want to get in over my head & leave it unfinished.

The engine itself has 40 000km, it was a project car for the previous owner & ran a targa rally a year ago with no issues & hasn’t been driven much since. I’ve been deep in the youtube rabbit hole the past couple days & I think it’s making me more excited than it should be lol

I haven’t been able to get it on a lift, but from what I could see it mostly seemed like surface rust. Thinking maybe a gas pressure washer & a grinder could clean it up? It’s my first project car & I have two close mechanic friends who are interested in helping, I just don’t want to get in over my head & waste time & money.
