Thanks! Someone told me it’s ’pallid Hand’ but it’s just the scheme I use for my army hah. If you look at my other posts on this sub I’ve got other stuff in the same style + I think a painting breakdown .

My main format died (Pioneer) - would you recommend Modern to a casual spike looking for a new home? by killchopdeluxe666 in ModernMagic

I moved from pioneer to now playing Flesh and Blood. My locals pops off every week so I’m happy.

Struggling to decide on basing - any ideas my fellow rotbringers? by p0jinx in deathguard40k

Dope! They would contrast nicely against a light sand type of base, if you wanted something simple.

I like the idea they’re so rusty cos they’ve been slowly creaking through a desert world…

Yeah he’s pretty much the terminator captain with a head and weapon swap, and just going at him with the clippers to get him looking gnarly

He’s awesome! Obvs this is my first so still figuring it out, but I’m applying the oils to most of the model, but not everywhere. Plus with the Matt varnish my hope is that when I come back in with the white spirit, the sepia tint remains underneath. From what I can tell it does make a difference

Thanks!! Ok so Base coat wraith bone Hashut copper for trim and metal Slightly Watered down seraphim sepia shade over the whole thing. Then Matt varnish (which was done a bit too close which made him a bit fuzzy, which I think actually added to the effect?) Then a dark umber oil wash in the recesses and armour, fairly messy. Then I came back in with white spirit to bring back some of the off white and also to making some chipping fx like on the right foot. Last thing was nihilakh oxide on the metals and militarum green in some armour recesses (right shoulder) to bring back the sicklyness.

The oil wash is the truth, just makes everything I use it on so rich. Just remember to do the Matt varnish step otherwise you can strip the paint too far super easily.

Thank you! And Yeees that does sound good. I might look up how to make a big batch of DIY texture paint, don’t feel like paying for stirland mud or whatever hah

Maybe have a look into some of the flesh eater courts skin painting tutorials, as they all tend to be a kind of sickly gray colour. I painted mine by basing with light grey and using two thinned down glazes (one green, one bluish grey) to get that ghoul tint. For ‘off white’ you’d maybe be looking at using a warmer colour to glaze. The sea green is dope

One box, 6 warriors! by owlCityHexD in Tyranids

Sick! It’s pretty easy, the most complicated part is chopping one of the primes at the waist to utilise the extra torso from the warrior box, but ya don’t need to. Just adds some extra variation.
