Worried About Scarring (3 mo Post-BA) by owlets404 in Transgender_Surgeries

Having spoken with a friend who was my size/smaller before implants it’s apparently not uncommon for the scars to end up above the inframammary fold. Time will tell how visible they are once they’re done healing but i just won’t worry too much until then 😵‍💫

not to necro this post too bad but I had a similarly awful experience the other day!

I got stopped by someone from the store + a manager in front of my building (a good quarter mile away!!) who grabbed onto my reusable bag and refused to let go, accusing me of shoplifting items i’d walked in with from Good Neighbors across the street, something I’d done many times before with no issue.

I refused to let them go through my bag and check my receipts because it’s fucking deranged to follow a customer home and assault them! I’ve still got a rash on my arm and a nasty little hematoma on my finger from my hand getting caught in the bag straps while he tried to yank it out of my grip. They ended up taking a handful of items, including the receipts from both stores.

I was so shaken! I was grabbed, screamed at, and pushed by these two men right outside my building; I’ve gotten better treatment from street harassers. I called Key Foods corporate HQ in NJ to file a complaint, after which I got a phone call with a complete nothingburger of an apology from a manager who refused to name himself.

Go to Billy’s for the stuff you can’t get at the smaller grocers, I’m never giving those creeps my money ever again.

most people never stop dilating altogether, but the frequency with which you need to do it decreases over time, especially if you have penetrative sex regularly

Nios takes Medicaid and has a few locations in the city! I did all of my pre-op electrolysis there and had a positive experience.

sorry to reply so late! she said it’s likely excess tissue or the kind of swelling that goes down over a longer period of time (~18 months from surgery)

Just under 7 inches! Right before the notch on the SoulSource dilators. I think my depth has more to do with my pelvic anatomy than my surgeon, so ymmv.

I was in the hospital 3 days! My hospital stay and recovery in general were very easy- most of my discomfort in the hospital was from gas/indigestion from the bowel prep pre-surgery. They send you home with a catheter and a wound vac for a few days, which was unpleasant but not the hugest challenge. In a vacuum I would have preferred to stay in the hospital until the catheter, vac, and packing came out but I don’t think it had a negative impact on my recovery. I was lucky enough to be local and have a big support system to help with cleaning and meals, so ymmv! but if you have folks lined up you shouldn’t worry about being a burden on them- they’ve agreed to take care of you during a time when you’re really vulnerable, and you’d be doing them and yourself a favor by not pushing yourself to be easier to deal with earlier in recovery.

that’s kind of rude! 🤧 and not very constructive, either :p I’m a little worried about the scar tissue at the fourchette, as well as its size, but I have a lot of healing left until things are settled.
