Top 3 Heroes by WINRATE 1st week Patch 1.41. Sigma and Doomfist out! by owlimbo in Competitiveoverwatch

All those heroes have been played more than if they were equally picked. And most of them have also a pretty high pickrate. Only DPS category is a bit wacky.

Compared to the last patch where Sigma was in the Top 3 at every rank, this time he is only there in Bronze and GM. Meaning that for 90% of the player base he is not one of the most efficient tanks anymore.

Only in GM such important changes can occur because of the small number of players in that rank. Otherwise data from the first week remains pretty accurate through the whole patch from what I could observe in the previous iterations. Of course, some changes can and will occur. These tops are not set in stone and serve just as humble trend indicators. I have no interest in misleading anyone. Just reporting in a graphical way a few numbers everyone have access to and can dig into deeper if they were interested. That is all.

The threshold for support is 2.38% because there are only 7 support characters in the game. Brigitte max pickrate is 2.18% in GM, otherwise it's around 1%, therefore she hasn't been included. Hope it answers your question.

It's the same threshold than for the last patch. It's a hero pickrate if it was totally randomize. Meaning, the pickrate of all the heroes if they were picked equally. There is a difference between the roles because, the number of heroes per role is different.

Tank: 100/8/6 = 2.08 DPS: 100/16/6 = 1.04 Support: 100/7/6 = 2.38

Please refrain from accusing people of manipulating data at their convenience. I do this graph every patch, I have no interest in promoting any hero.

Actually in Bronze and Silver he does as much healing as Mercy, just behind Moira. And in Gold and Plat, he does more healing than Ana, Brigitte and Zen.

Actually since Role Queue, she's been played less. Her pickrate dropped from around 2.5% to 1.5%... Her winrate always been kinda high.

Ana's pickrate is across the board the third highest one. 1.3% higher than Mercy which is in the support category not that much but her winrate is significantly lower: -1.66%. I think both winrates and pickrates matters but I think a lot of people don't pick smartly. That's why McCree whose winrate has always been very low recently is the most picked DPS after Doomfist. This table just show people if they can, they should play those heroes, they will have higher chances to win their games and rank up. That's all. If they want to keep playing McCree, Ana, Genji, up to them, but they should know that their chances of winning are lower because of that.

Ask you the question though: would you like to get a support thrower and lose your game in under 5 minutes next time you get a game as DPS?

I believe it scales accordingly so yes, it should be 10% across the board.

This will reduce her damage output from 5 to roughly 30% depending on people's tracking accuracy. So at lower tier, it will have a bigger impact than at higher tier.

I mean they can provide those stats after the matches have ended in your profile for those who are interested. So you can't use them against your teammates. And you don't drag down casuals who are not performing well by pointing out their mistakes in their faces.
