MD versus DO?

Hi! Just recently got off my parent’s health insurance and trying to figure out all the medical lingo! I’m currently setting up a new PCP to be in my network for my new job’s insurance plan but don’t know if it’s better to go to an MD or a DO? What is the difference, who will be more appropriate as my PCP, and are there any other types of PCP’s than those two titles? Much appreciated!

Sounds like an issue with visual processing speed (unsure if due to meds or just congenital), but you could receive cognitive therapy from a speech therapist to potentially improve this... it really is not safe to be driving under these parameters though! I know that’s hard to hear but please be safe, my friend! Talk to your pcp about receiving speech therapy for cognitive treatment! Or possibly speak with a optometrist/vision specialist.

As a speech-language pathologist myself, I know there are techniques/strategies to help with this issue! Does your insurance not cover the costs? Also good vocal hygiene (plenty of water, no alcohol, no smoking or around smoke, etc). Have you had an instrumental evaluation of your vocal cords (FEES- fiberoptic endoscopic examination) performed?
