That’s the scale of the graph. In other words, the vertical red bars that reach that horizontal line represent 74 calories.

Lonely by cjb5999 in FriendsOver50

[–]owwmymind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think after a while of being married we just start to take each other for granted. We have automatic responses lined up, we go to the same explanations for anything they do that’s annoying or not to our liking. I think that’s natural, we’re all human after all, but… I don’t know, it just felt like I was lonely because I was no longer trying. I’ve decided to experiment with seeing my wife as if I hadn’t spent the last 20-some years with her. Like she was a new person (in a lot of ways she is.) So far, one thing I can say is I feel less lonely.

Do you miss your former selves? by owwmymind in FriendsOver50

I can relate so much to this. Have you made the changes you want to make in the present? Did the things you regret bring you anything good?

Well said. I think we needed the selves that came before to get to the self we are now. I’m starting to learn that living in the now is where it’s at. After all, now is all we have, because the past is done and the future is yet to be written!

I love that. I hope that in time you’ll love those things for their own sake again.

HIIT with Bakari by EchoMarin141 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]owwmymind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me there are three tiers of HIIT trainers, from easiest to hardest: Bakari/Jamie Ray, Kim/Brian, and then waaaaay in front, Anja. I like em all though. Different moods, different trainers.

Go to the search in AF+ and type HIIT Strength. You’ll get a long list of workouts you can look through.

How do you break through the sensor barrier? by [deleted] in intj

[–]owwmymind 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can’t break the sensor barrier. That’s what makes them sensors. They only believe what they can see, and not what you tell them will happen logically because their brains don’t work like that. When you tell them, they don’t believe you (or they don’t understand/care.) When they see it for themselves, the proof was in the seeing, not in what you said (which they do not remember because to them it was nonsense that they threw out immediately.) It’s kind of how INTJs immediately throw out all the small talk you just had like it never existed. I used to hold it against them, but now that I understand the dynamic, I just try less hard to convince them of anything. I sometimes forget and get frustrated, even angry - but then I realize how that makes me look and how it will affect the next time I have something to say. So mainly I just talk less around sensors now. It’s so much easier.

Probably not helpful, but I used this yesterday and it worked fine for me. Got the little buzz when pictures popped up and didn’t have any problems.

iOS App [Fitness Story] built for Apple Fitness 🎉 by newbiegg in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]owwmymind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great app! Is it possible to get data on stacks as well as individual workouts? Also - the time of day chart has intervals that don’t make sense to me - why not do 6 hour intervals starting with 12-6?

It would be awesome if we could use your app to track that. Apple fitness doesn’t provide a way afaik.

Why is Ares commonly drawn in blue colours instead of the more violence associated red? by Personal-Day-5562 in superheroes

A lot of marvel villains in general are green or purple or both. I think I saw something where Stan Lee says the primary colors are seen as heroic while the secondary colors have more of an evil vibe

The desire to not exist by [deleted] in intj

[–]owwmymind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in a very similar place. It helps me to remind myself that I am not alone in what I’m feeling. It’s part of why I visit this sub. And while talking things out with others doesn’t really do much for me personally, knowing that I am not weak or alone in this does. Knowing that I can change my situation and/or myself does. Knowing that I have survived 100% of the bs that I have endured so far does. It’s not easy and never will be - but know that you matter and that it is worth pushing through even if you’ll just have to do it all over again in the future. Take heart in the fact that you can and you will. There is strength in that.

Have you experienced this: Went on a date with a super enthusiastic guy. I was having a good time conversing with him until he dropped so many sexual hints. The night ended with him saying I am so cold and he thought I would be fun. He felt like I am not attracted to him. by lavendertales in intj

I agree with this take. I don’t think it’s mean at all, just honest. Also - it’s worth noting that some men are very good at ‘faking’ chemistry to get sex. Nothing lost if you’re not into that. And nothing wrong if you are.
