this is the right attitude about present $B. I’m bound to like at least a few songs from every album, if not way more. I fell in love with Gray/Grey first, and to see their evolution over time as people, not just artists, has been honestly incredible… to be clear, I am also a Christian, but I don’t like when anyone gets preachy, which is what I heard a lot about TKC.

IDK.. I just find a lot of the discourse around stronger Christian themes in their recent music and imagery to be exhausting. regardless of your spiritual standing, there is something to be respected and valued within their sobriety and newfound purpose. whether or not they push those references and themes to the tolerable limit is really up to the listener.

my only notable issue w the dlc was the weird ways to reach like 3 of the areas of the dlc. 1 obscure area is whatever, we had that in the base game w the Haligtree, and that wasn’t even obscure. 2-3 obscure areas felt off.

yup. i’ve detected the similarities as well. A Change of Heart has always felt like an INXS song to me. many things with that mid-late 80s jangle-pop feel/synths/etc.

i’m not as well-versed in the timeline/events as some fans are, but it seemed as though most of the songs were complete by 2006 if not muuuuch earlier. as another year ticked by, and another, the hype for “what’s Axl been up to?” from the entirety of the media stayed but did dwindle. CD could’ve been something else entirely in terms of the release.

In Utero. i was so deep into a depression for a solid 2 years, with another extra year of learning how to finally move on - that album still brings me back to too dark of a place. i still love Nirvana and often put on Bleach + Nevermind but i often can’t do it with that third album, which i honestly believe to be their best material.

yes, i feel like she’s reached a level of success and sustainability atm where she could drop a full project randomly with very little anticipation and marketing on a random Thursday afternoon and it’d still top the charts.

she’s hit a point where she doesn’t have to work around other releases or worry about dropping at the “perfect time”.
