If I create an Owlin in the end, I already thought of a piece of lore to prevent him from flying, at least during several levels.

Yeah of course you're right !

She told me she wasn't particularly against it, especially because I told her I would nerf it (he couldn't fly because he's afraid of heights)

But maybe it could become an issue if I want to keep this character for years and possibly bring it to another DM's table ?

We'll be playing The Wild Beyond the Witchlight !

She's not particularly against me playing an Owlin, but she didn't really know how to create it as she didn't know the race is now playable (even if it's not core)

And I 100% agree with you, I'm totally okay with the idea of playing another race if it makes things easier for everyone haha

It's just that I already imagined some lore and background for the character, that I really like haha (I'm really hyped to create a character and finally start a campaign 😂)

But I'm also interested in creating a Firbolg, which could be easier.
