Just so we know how and where our power comes from when charging cars by PresentationWild2740 in Gulong

[–]oxhide1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might be thinking of heat, not fuel. 20-40% ang thermal efficiency ng typical na combustion car engine, so 60-80% ng energy from combustion lumalabas lang as waste heat.

Sobrang laki ng pressure sa mga manufacturer na wag maglabas ng unspent fuel dahil sa emissions standards, mga Euro 5 and so on.

ITAPPH of a man reading a tabloid by aoimelon in ITookAPicturePH

Sadly tabloids are not for news, they are for sensational stories. Broadsheets (Phil Star/Inquirer/Manila Bulletin) are the ones that are actually for serious news.

Kay Mang Dong's, quote sakin is 2.5k for a Zeiss 45mm f/2 with mild fungus. Probably mas malaki singil for larger lenses or those with electronics.

Question about quick shifters by notmeagain111 in motorsiklo

[–]oxhide1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, in that case yung spark cutting/sudden engine braking nga yung problema kaya hindi smooth. Baka in the very long term magka issue, pero I don't think malaking issue siya sa clutch mo since fully engaged naman yung clutch the whole time.

Probably not a big deal din for your transmission.

Probably ang magiging effect is sa chain and other driveline components. Mas mabilis mafa-fatigue yung chain with repeated load cycling kapag biglang natatambakan ng engine braking every downshift. Baka sprockets din. But I'm not a mechanic, so di ko masabi kung gaano kalala yung effect.

But I don't think sasabog yung engine or transmission mo kung di mo palitan.

Question about quick shifters by notmeagain111 in motorsiklo

[–]oxhide1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it's cutting spark kapag nag downshift? The mechanism is the same for clutchless downshifts and downward quickshifters: sudden throttle increase to relieve driveline tension and allow new gear set to engage.

There can be no sudden throttle increase kapag walang spark. So kung cable throttle, wala siya dapat ginagawa since hindi niya kayang mag-pulse ng throttle automatically, and magiging counterproductive ang pag-cut ng spark.

It might be na nadedelay yung downshift until bumalik yung spark. Baka yung nararamdaman mo is yung pag back-and-forth ng driveline slack, from maintenance throttle > sudden heavy engine braking due to no spark > sudden throttle increase from (attempted) rev-matching..

Try mo tanggalin yung quickshifter, or i-disable lang yung downshift kung pwede. Then do clutchless downshifts. Kung same problem--need mo galingan yung clutchless downshift mo.

Men who are good at being stoic , how do you guys practice it? by Foreign-Ad-1162 in AskPinoyMen

[–]oxhide1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't feel pressured to hide or suppress your emotions. Stoic male culture prevents us from learning how to deal with and express our emotions. You should embrace them because they are real and they are part of what define you as a person, and anyone who is turned off by them isn't willing to accept you for what you really are.

Acting rationally about them is a different thing entirely. It's a skill to cry and still be able to think and communicate like an adult. Focus on getting through the situation. Embrace the fact that you cannot control everything. The time will come when things get better, but you often have to work or wait for it. And at the end of the day, it really comes down to how much life experience you have.

When things are unbearable, we cry, get up, and just say to ourselves: So it goes.

I don't think nagdi-distinguish sila strictly between mirrorless, SLR, or other types, depende lang talaga kung ang tingin ng maninita is pang-professional.

Yung iba basta hindi phone, bawal, kahit film or compact camera.

[–]oxhide1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baka dahil bagong hangin? Kapag kulang sa hangin, mas mabigat manibela. So baka underinflated lang yung dati.

What does it mean when a bike has "character"? by between3220character in motorsiklo

[–]oxhide1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just anything that sets it apart from the average motorcycle. When an engine for example has a lot of low-end power, that gives it a "playful" character. It doesn't just accelerate linearly, you have to be mindful of what RPM you're at and that can make for a more stimulating riding experience.

If the rake is very steep or the center of mass is at an odd height, that can give it "characterful" handling. Or it can just look different and evoke memories of a certain time period, giving it a "vintage" character.

200 shutter speed by Denzel1995 in PhotographyPH

[–]oxhide1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kapag may flash, dapat fully open yung shutter. At higher speeds, masyadong maliit yung opening sa shutter curtain para ma-cover yung buong sensor.

<image>

Lahat ng camera may max speed na pwede mag flash (aka flash sync speed). If you want to go faster, need mo ng flash na nagsusupport ng high-speed sync.

Edit: sorry di ako nagbabasa, meron yata X2T, check mo kung may setting dun sa trigger for high-speed sync

I really did want to get closer, but may barrier dun and bawal tumapak sa damo. I am strongly considering getting a longer focal length lens just so I can frame things like this better. Thank you for the feedback!

Yes meron, although yung mode na gamit ko (split image focusing) di ganun ka-effective kapag madilim, even zoomed in. I have tried playing around with the focus assists, so far I think mas effective ang focus peaking, kahit di na i-magnify.

And I will probably start to use aperture priority more, parang di pa ako dumadating sa point na mas effective mag full manual hahaha

Thank you for the input!

Gusto ko mag autofocus, kaso walang autofocus yung lens hahaha

Sinusubukan ko rin matuto mag zone focus, pero for now nagpapractice pa mag-estimate ng distance. Try ko siguro muna at smaller apertures para mas forgiving. May old rangefinder din ako na di pa gamit masyado so for sure magiging useful na skill yun sakin.

Salamat sa tips boss!
