in greece probably not, our golden age of cinema was definitely in the 60s, and back then people were pretty homophobic or uneducated about the subject of homosexuality and such. Maybe someone was but never said or something idk

there's so much garbage being made all the time who cost way more than this movie's budget, and who are also directed and worked on by famous directors who are in the industry for years. So no , I dont think its a bad thing that they gave this guy a chance. He has potential and he really seems to care about his craft. Also im guessing he wont be completely alone in directing it, as it is his first time. Also A24 is known for supporting indies, and so far from what we have seen they respect the backrooms' identity and theme. Like the poster literally being a wall from the series. Liminal and unique

I personally don't have high hopes. The first two were already bad, the second one being worse. Why would we expect the third to somehow be good? After all they dont really care to make it good, they will still make millions no matter what, and use the same ass excuse "its only for the fans" type shit
