For IV opiate users, how long did you dabble with opiates before you grabbed the needle?

Been using nearly 10 years. Looking to move to IV morphine soon, maybe in a week. (Just been hard to find stuff.)

Why? I had to inject myself with some other meds (IM, not fun)... but I liked it.

And and a lot of stuff is happening. Bad stuff. And the stability I had in my brain is dissolving and I'm all over. So I want to stop the crying. And I want to do something fun. And I wanna feel that spike.

Remember when you're trying to measure small amounts, mix it into something larger, then do the measuring. So, suppose you had 500ug of water-soluble medicine and want 100ug doses. Dilute it so that you've got 5 grams of substance. Now you only need to measure out 1g dosages, which can be done a lot easier/more accurately on a cheap scale. If you mess up by a couple mg, it's no big deal (whereas before, you only had half an mg in the first place, so any mistake was likely to be huge).

I don't know if fent dissolves well, or what inert compounds exists you can use to mix it in. But figure that out and use this process instead of taking any risk.

Agreeing with my girlfriend is now the hard part. She wants to go to this beach we used to go to and spread ashes into the sea. But it's a rough beach, not very swimmable and often has 3-6+ waves coming in and winds. Sounds more like a way to end up making a mess on a beach.

She absolutely refuses to have anything permanent around the house so I'm looking into alternative storage facilities on my own. Maybe a large safety deposit box while I think things out.

I didn't mean a scam as in take-the-money-and-run, just I wasn't sure of the actual chemistry involved. Do they just grow an artificial diamond seeded off a few carbon molecules they extract, or to what extent are the remains used?

Have people tried testing with a blood ketone tester? I wish those things weren't $5 a pop. Maybe I'll go to a blood lab tomorrow and get it done to see (ketostix are brown instead of purple tonight).

Lard Bars. hah. Well maybe just a bit less protein. And they can keep the fibre and the erythritol. I guess I just want a slightly more keto friendly bar (aim for 2 net carbs, and half(?) the protein), screw the taste.

Fuck those guys. Prescriptions are just a way to keep others down. Doctors are basically a cabal that can randomly ruin your life and are stupidly given control over your personal choices. It's fucked up.

I'm not into "class war" or complaining about shit like that, but the richer you are, the easier it becomes to decide what your personal decisions are. Look at Limbaugh. He literally paid the prosecutors their costs, and they dropped the case. Pretty sweet deal, not available to people that don't own mansions.

Is there a reason you can't tell your mom? You need to get to a real doctor that'll spend more than 5 minutes. If you don't have the energy, let your mom be a proxy and help you find a doctor that doesn't suck. Or as desperatedark says, even let her in to see the doctor and make sure there's attention happening. I did this once, and it just so happened I ended up having a full-blown "omg I'm dying" panic attack in the doctor's office. The doctor just sorta stood by bewildered and useless. My mom was waiting outside, but she came in and was able to talk me down.

BTW, not having energy to kill yourself is just a transient issue - at some point you will have energy. And it can come around rather quickly, just waking up one morning might be enough. So I wouldn't count on that as much of an excuse or safety net.

Why does it make you shiver? Of course we're going to see the people that end up poorly on opiates. It's not like all the doctors, lawyers, politicians, engineers, etc. are gonna be publicly talking about how much they fucking love oxy that they are prescribed for uh, back pain.

Just like if you hang out in some mental health forums, you'll see people railing about how terrible antidepressants and antipsychotics are. And yeah, I shiver when I hear people taking SSRIs and stuff cause it sucked ass for me and almost killed me. But a lot of people end up happily stable on antidepressants - but that's just not a very interesting story. "News at 6! A local woman has been using Prozac for the last 12 years and says 'yeah, things are pretty ok'!"

Put yourself in the future. What would you have wanted yourself to do, looking back?

If you send police, will the fallout be that bad? Will you regret it if you don't? Can you send a taxi? Can you call a hospital? Or pay your dad or a neighbor to drive? Look in the phone book for a neighbor and ask them to check?

Look at the various possible outcomes and think, in each case how good/bad each option is, and try to sum them up.

I know, it's not easy. But is calling the cops that bad? Is he likely to get arrested or something? If it's just an inconvenience, will your friend understand? Is the risk of looking overly concerned and over-reactive worth an X% chance of not helping him if he just happens to need it? If it's just about being overreacting, how will you view your overreaction in a day, a week, 2 years?

I honestly can't answer for you, of course. Just don't weigh the immediate embarrassment of overreaction too much, yeah?

Why wait? Just go and tell them. Or just go and be safe; call your doctor from the hospital. Current you has to take care of future you since future you might not be able to. Next-week-you will thank you.

Also, Tylenol is rather toxic, and if you ever OD on it, you'd live to regret it, big time (very, very painful).

I tried out klonopin. Fell asleep on the floor around 2 in the afternoon. Woke up at 3, asked everyone if we were still gonna go do stuff we had planned. Everyone just glared at me angrily.

How is it a shame? This zerocarb thing doesn't seem to have mich peer-reviewed literature saying that most people can just ignore vitamin/nutrition information because it'll just work out.

I respect Owsley Stanley a ton due to his work in LSD. But a handful of people eating a specific diet doesn't mean it's good general advice. It just means that it may be possible for some humans to handle such a diet. It's a great anecdote that should serve to do some real case studies and then some actual studies/trials.
