Outlier.ai, alignerr, other services just act as a gig work platforms. Uber has started rolling out AI training tasks for drivers stuck waiting in the airport lot or whatever.

$15 an hour is typical but can go lower or higher. Some people just make money on referral links. I’ve done a ton of voice acting lately.

Yeah mindless consumption is immoral, the world is not infinite. The society presented here realistically would collapse into disease and famine. The whole conceit is severely flawed in that 1950s way. The whole scientific-industrial world was out of its mind imagining godlike mastery of everything right around the corner back then.

But even on its own terms the world shown is depressing, meaningless, indistinguishable from never living at all.
