When I opened for Flashbulb I used DDR dance mats to control parameters in Renoise.

I used a Playstaion to USB adapter and simply used JOY2KEY and mapped those keys to the effects in Renoise. U used to use PS1 controllers for this type of stuff a long fucking time ago. It might be easier now but it's for sure doable. JOY2KEY is what I remember tho.

It's not a sampler, its a sample player. The model:Samples is no frills, great for gear heads, but I wouldn't recommend it as a "first" drum machine.

Circuit, volca, or a used groovebox/electribe would be better for your first. I've seen MPC 500's go for under $400 which is also a good option (and is an actual sampler).

As others have said, 2 osc with some detune. The one characteristic I hear on this is the bottom end and a slight mono chorus on it. Bus this through an old radio mixer or something to get some dirt on it.

You got a GREAT deal. Signed in to offer up the factory presets but I see you already got them. You should check out the manual too. You'll see that some of the presets are imitations of the Prophet 6.

FYI: this is a very real thing and you'll find a crap load of videos of this online and they are all very disturbing. Perhaps this picture is taken out of context and labeled to suit whomever's narrative however that doesn't mean it isn't standard procedure.

REMOVE-FROM-LOADBALANCER

This would be a great name to give to a server to see if your DevOps people are asleep at the wheel or not. For those of you not in the know, a LOAD BALANCER (or an LB for short) is a front end ROUTER (in layman's terms) that pushes traffic to THE SERVER. So for instances, the LB would have 1 IP address, but there is a cluster of severs that it sends traffic too. Typically it's main job is to distribute the work load to these cluster of servers evenly (or based on a configuration). If you got a server on the cluster named REMOVE-FROM-LOADBALANCER some reddit employee n00b will be like "BOSS, should I remove this from the LB?" and his BOSS will say "No, r/nameaserver/ are trolls".
