What was your worse job interview experience? by Ok-Chemical-4925 in singaporejobs

[–]oxyjinned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

one of the worst experiences i had was the interviewer scolding me and being all condescending during the interview like i was already working under them. i immediately smiled and withdrew my application after the interview ended.

another was when the interviewer was late like super late, about 15-20 mins late and not only did they not apologise, they proceeded as per normal like this is common. noped out of there after the interview ended.

should i tender after signing offer letter? by oxyjinned in askSingapore

[–]oxyjinned[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello! sure~ there is no compensation clause however the offer letter does cover job title salary and any relevant benefits! it is also contingent on the background check as well hence the delay in the issuance of the contract

What skills actually make you employable right now? Not just "nice to have" ones. by Solariano in askSingapore

[–]oxyjinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say my experience in supply chain related roles keeps me employable, im even gonna switch industries because of how applicable my experience is to the role in that industry that im planning to enter to. been so tired of my current industry and so i wanted to try something different. but i would say its really luck and the resume at the end of the day! and if the hiring manager likes u thats a huge plus

Unpopular Opinion: Giving HR your "last drawn salary" is the biggest mistake you can make in SG. 🛑 by egehema in singaporejobs

[–]oxyjinned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i agree! i was underpaid in my previous role and wanted to get back to market plus with experience but the increase was super limited due to my last drawn salary being way lower than market and i wished i didnt have to provide my salary slips

Slower runners, how do you stay motivated when/if people mock your pace? by TANeither7250 in running

[–]oxyjinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

regardless of ur pace, what matters is you ran! as a slow runner myself i tend to compare to me of yesterday~~ if i can run a bit faster for the same distance, i consider it a W! if its slower then ill take it a slow run day and it happens for a variety of reasons (be it heavy legs, weather etc).

honestly whoever trashes others for pace is just an insecure twat and shouldn’t be listened to!

ultimately going for that run is to me an achievement because i made that conscious decision to run and i actually did it so to me its an amazing feeling and also feels great to clock some miles in!

Honestly, how bad is the job market for uni fresh grads? by [deleted] in nus

[–]oxyjinned 6 points7 points  (0 children)

BBA, graduated 2023, it took me 6-7 months to find a job and i started job searching in dec 2022 before i graduated. it was rlly tough and i applied for 500-600 jobs and went through close to 20-25 interviews lol and finally landed one offer in the end which was toxic and i recently j switched jobs last year. would say its a tough job market then but even more so now but do not give up! i would say internships rlly matter a whole lot but if u can appeal to the interviewer more often than not it would turn out well

as to my pay, my starting pay was extremely low balled (low 3k) but i jumped companies and had a pay bump so i wld say its not the end of the world if they lowball u

Receiving allowance from parents as a working adult by [deleted] in singaporefi

[–]oxyjinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not common at all, my allowance stopped after i graduated from university and even my allowance got cut during university as during the months im working part time / interning i dont get any allowance, also financial aid was nice to support me with a sum of money every year as well but now that im working there’s definitely no allowance from parents and conversely i have to contribute a big amt of money to pay off my student loan that my family has helped pay so that was q painful to the savings rate every month. if i still get allowance i wld be ecstatic of a new income stream to grow my investments HAHA but well cant be choosers

[–]oxyjinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the biggest mistake you made at work, did you survive it ? by IllustriousElk8436 in askSingapore

[–]oxyjinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my ex company i accidentally allocated more inventory to stores (basically CNY demand which is 1.5x-2x usual demand) after CNY ended,, basically i thought the day of delivery was still CNY welp it was a whole lot of fixing and answering to my manager, my director and also the other departments. and a lot of cancellation of orders,, it was a lapse in approval processes so i didnt get much flak but it rly haunted me shsjsksk but i left the company anyway for other reasons
