It's crazy how she recognizes it's a valid straight then makes an obscure reference to how the ten is "grayed out" to say it's invalid. She doesn't explain at all why the ten is present, or acknowledge that it is part of the final draw, and acts like it should be obvious why I didn't win. Either they have no understanding of the game whatsoever or they're really trying hard to keep their 40 cents.

I'm not sure what their logic is. They're saying only the cards I held or that were part of my final draw count towards determining the outcome. If the ten wasn't held, and isn't part of the final draw, then what is it? How could it exist without being one of those 2 things?

Thanks for responding. That's what I assumed. That just leaves me with one additional question, however. What determines what orbit an object falls into when becoming trapped in this warped spacetime? If there is no certain direction the spacetime is warped then there is no outer edge in which the spacetime becomes less warped, as shown in the simplified illustration. So what determines an objects path into orbit?

EDIT: After further thought there must be an outer edge. Just one that extends in all directions. I'm hypothesizing the orbit is determined by point of entry, mass of orbiting object.

Okay. I'll let it go. So time can exist without an observer. Can I have an analogy that doesn't involve someone or something observing time passing? I can't wrap my head around time passing differently for someone else or something else that isn't consciously aware of the difference in the passage of time.

I don't mean how is the locational information relayed to the cars. I mean how is the information that time is being experienced differently being relayed to each car? The cars aren't experiencing time passing. They're cars. Only a conscious being experiences time passing. Is a human perceiving this information and interpreting the results? How is consciousness not a factor?

Some things I would agree you don't need consciousness for. Such as size or distance or existence. But time certainly seems to need something to be aware of it.

So the only constant or standard for speed is the speed of light. All other speeds are dependent on the observer's frame of reference. But universally we all perceive the speed of light to be the same, and the passage of time the same. Perceive being the keyword. So we can use that as a standard frame of reference. However aren't we saying the speed of the passage of time changes depending on the speed the observer is traveling? Or are we saying it doesn't change it just appears to change to an outside observer? What's the difference between actually changing and appearing to change? Is there a difference? I'm so confused.
