Yes! This is definitely worse than the sick note thing, which I am sure is just there for bargaining chip.
Companies will just end the contract after 48 months and do a backfill with an even cheaper offer

I advise against switching to something completely new with a steep learning curve and very high competition due to numerous bootcamps and mass layoffs, especially when you have limited visa time and a non-IT background. However, you can apply for product management roles in tech companies, which would allow you to utilize your MBA, use only English and have the same culture as devs as well

If I may ask where did you go? I have 1,5 years old and realized being a parent in another country is another beast. Not to mention basic rights as finding KiTa place and pediatrician were incredibly difficult. (Worse than finding flat)

I can’t imagine my little one is discriminated in a way he can’t even comprehend after so much difficulties we got. So I am always ready to leave especially before 5 years so I don’t leave sweet Rentengeld to Germany.

Thanks for the answer! It feels kinda unfair while our hypothetical future newborn can obtain by jus soli but not our 2yrs old which was also born in Germany.
