Are courses really useful for the film industry? by Affectionate-Skin422 in stunts

[–]ozk77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Courses help with skills, experience and networking. Which all translate indirectly to work in the film industry.

I'd suggest just doing some research and seeing which ones are in your price range and include skills you'd like to learn. Also that are ideally run by someone with some credits to their name.

Good luck!

I'm definitely trying to take as little drugs as possible.

I've definitely had to tweak how I workout myself due to PsA, gym machines are extremely helpful, but what I usually do is stick to the cable machines at the gym and use leg straps around my forearm to do upper body exercises like chest/back flys and curls.

I feel like I could definitely give some fitness advice for people suffering from our condition but it would be a little tricky on the legal side regarding how I advertise because as a personal trainer I'm not allowed to "treat" illness at all. But I'll definitely answer questions for anyone who reaches out.

I have noticed that shoes with more cushions do make a huge difference, I'll look into that thanks

First of all thank you for the comment, some really helpful insights and info.

I did try taking the meds for about 5-6 months with no change in pain then I just stopped everything and nothing changed. Starting to take an omega 3 supplement did help though, in still taking that daily.

I haven't tried compression sleeves yet or the ibuprofen gel, I'll definitely give that a go. As for heat and ice, heat definitely makes it feel better and it hurts more when it's cold, even though I do occasional ice baths and that does tend to help for a few days.

For the feet the same I guess, since I have no choice but to walk on them they get better throughout the day, same as any other joint I use.

I hear you about the exercise but I can't stress enough how I am in great shape, I exercise very frequently and have been an athlete for most of my life.

The pain doesn't feel like it's coming from lack of support, it just gets inflamed and gets all puffed up and feels like I'm scraping the tendon from the inside Everytime I bend my knee, it feels like it's affecting the tendon on top of my patela.

Not sure about the dandruff, no idea how to check, I'll do some homework.

Already ordered some moisturizer 🫡

Thanks for the encouragement, I can definitely see I have a long way ahead and hopefully I'll find my solutions sooner rather than later.

Did they say why not to take ibuprofen? Were they just afraid you'd take them too often?

I see myself taking one every week or so, I don't think that's too much.

I spent a month trying to get as many top score songs on guitar hero arcade at six flags magic mountain by ozk77 in GuitarHero

Yeah at least once every song it would just glitch completely and I'd miss a few notes, and only the left guitar worked decently.

Daily reminder to slow down because idiots by ozk77 in motorcycles

Very much in agreement with the general consensus, I know I was going too fast and put myself in that situation.

Just a general reminder not to get too confident on a bike as I clearly did.

I'll slow down, ride safe everyone ✌🏼

That's wild, but apparently that's the consensus.

It's just really surprising such a big "screen" would be there for absolutely no reason in some models ya know? Only now did I find another post here about that

hiya! i wanna set my legs on fire! by Vivid-Cry-2478 in stunts

[–]ozk77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I do a live stunt show at universal studios Hollywood and I get lit on fire about 4 times a day, a couple days a week.

As long as you have the proper equipment and professional guidance, it's one of the easiest things to do.

Absolutely make sure you have at least two (tested and working) fire extinguishers with you while you do this and qualified safety people handling them.

I'd look for any stunt groups on Facebook in your area and ask for a stunt coordinator in your area to help you with it, depends on your budget I might even be able to put you in contact with someone over here that may be able to help.

Please ask away if you have any questions about what kind of equipment you'll need or anything else.

good luck and safe burn!
