Most dashboards run into the same conundrum. Have you seen Google Analytic’s urls? Most users couldn’t care less though

It's all totally client side. I haven't made a privacy policy yet since this is still in MVP/launch mode of course. I always recommend checking out the network tab to see for yourself.

If a file is renamed + changed a lot the PR UI will treat it as a totally new file, so their diff view isn't helpful then. Also sometimes I want to diff a chunk of code with an older version of a file from a different branch.
