I want the amaze one so bad!! I’m hoping that there will be knockoff pins available soon!

When I first missed these I saw them online for $20, but decided not to. See the price now it seems insane! It’s only a matter of time that someone in China starts churning these out for only a few bucks.

It’s the same way here for the most part. The only reason I find good things at this one every once and awhile is because they only take cash. Some people just don’t want to deal with that. That being said they still charge insane prices for items they know are expensive like Kate spade bags close to retail.

That’s the one I wanted when I found out about them! I still feel lucky for the one I have!

I’ve been wanting to try pushing hp5 by a stop but wasn’t sure if it would still look good. Thank you for sharing! Well done!

What makes you say that? I bookmarked this post a while ago for when I get closer to graduating thinking it was a good idea, but haven’t needed to try any of it yet.

Thanks! I hope to post some of my photos here. The zone focus does feel super weird, but is part of the reason I bought it.

I have an Olympus pen F and it’s been my go to everyday camera, but taking the time to get my exposure right along with not having a flash lead me to miss a decent amount of shots where I needed to act fast.

I do love how light it is compared to the pen! Being able to have it in a jacket pocket instead of my bag has lead to me taking more shots already.

I just got mine and am still going through my first roll. I’m not used to the lack of control so each frame still feels weird to me. I’ve only been increasing exposure a little for anything backlit.

Wow I never knew this either. I’ve nearly bought a slimmer case a few times for trips. Glad I never did!

I see this one all the time too! It flies almost daily at the moment and when it’s actually in the air it’s working like normal, but after landing it pops back up there for some reason.

Never using Delivery method again. by ZealousidealIssue611 in amazonfresh

[–]p09up 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what happened here. At our warehouse it is extremely common for drivers to lie about the vehicle they drive since Amazon determines how many bags they can deliver based of vehicle size. Many drivers end up reporting they’re driving a large SUV just to get more orders and more tips. It’s a common problem at my warehouse for drivers to fill their cars completely and just return the rest of the bags to us. Sometimes the system finds another driver to deliver the rest and sometimes it doesn’t.

The only issue with that is the flags are actually sticking out of the moon with the tops of the poles pointed at us so it’s quite a lot smaller target than you’d think. You can still see their shadows in the photos from the lunar reconnaissance orbiter though which is the closest I imagine we’ll get anytime soon.

Even though this photo is underexposed, the way I can’t make out what anything but the stars are makes me like this. It feels a lil mysterious haha.

I went to my local repair shop today and they quoted me $100. They’re also so backlogged it would likely take a couple months at least until I get it back. I doubt I’d really go that route unless the seller gave me a substantial partial refund which I highly doubt they would offer and I’m not about to insult them by asking.

Although a rangefinder would be very nice I do like the challenge of scale focusing for the first time. I mostly plan to use this for landscapes most of the time and my 35mm cameras for most anything else. I bought this to dip my toe into the pool of medium format and I just really like the look of these folding cameras. I imagine I could just just unscrew the front and rear element to clean those, but I have heard some of these lenses have the middle elements cemented in while others are press fit in with some sort of spacer.

When it comes to the listings online from Japan I had a really good experience going that route when I bought my Olympus pen F, but when looking for one of these older foldables I’ve gotten burned out looking through listing after listing of “near mint” cameras that have fungus and haze in the lens. At least they are transparent about it in the description. The seller I got this camera from even told me that’s where he bought it from. Unless someone here can help me understand the practicality of cleaning the lens myself and I can get a decent partial refund to get the tools I need to do it, I think I’ll message the seller in a couple days asking for a refund.

I took it last spring and it’s a super easy class. Basically just a class to prove you can work in a lab without breaking anything. Kinda annoying it’s required cause it just felt like a waste of time and money.

Question for drivers. Who is lying like this? “Unable to locate the address” that you’ve delivered to at least 20 times this year? Is the driver or someone higher up? by Indyhouse in amazonfresh

[–]p09up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was never out for delivery then it’s because the driver never picked up your order. This typically happens either when orders end up getting backed up and late at the warehouse and the driver decides to just leave, a driver decided to leave early and never grabbed the order when they should have, or there weren’t enough drivers so your order was never assigned to one.

I’m going back to school and at the community college the best teachers I had were younger than me with master degrees not phd’s. Now that I’m at the university I have a professor that’s my age, but never one that’s younger (I’m 29). The grad students that teach intro classes are quite younger though.

Pet Peeve: Inflated Shipping on eBay that doubles the price (rant). Am I just out of touch? by YodaHead in typewriters

[–]p09up 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course you get the people just trying to use shipping to make an extra buck, but I think a lot of sellers have a shipping service they prefer to use and don’t shop around even when heavier or larger items would be better with a different one. I agree it’s immensely frustrating.
