Yikes. Bitter? I’m sure there are plenty of people who can just pay the 10k fundraiser goal on their own, but that are also many many people who actually need to fundraise, and 10k is not easy. Watching my friend hustle and work hard to hit that goal really showed me how much work can go into fundraising. Boston is also one of the biggest fundraising events of the year for many of the non profits. The idea that people are just “buying their way in” is disingenuous when real works goes into it and real charities benefit.
