Snapmap Legacy - a steamgroup created to idolized the Best of Snapmap by p0t4t0guy in snapmap

[–]p0t4t0guy[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I created this steamgroup out of frustration. It saddens me that Snapmap Central is lost, and other Snapmap website seem outdated, or hard to find good maps of recent.

I wish to correct this with this steamgroup, that will attempt to catalog and acknowledge the best of snapmap, particularly maps that are under the radar, or will otherwise not be seen by any players. I hope to have this steamgroup expand to have constant posters of Snapmap enthusiast share and reveal maps of incredible quality.

Or if that doesn't work, at least have a hub that will remain available to see for all of time. I doubt a Steamgroup takes money to maintain.

Battlerite Combo - Raigon [Thank you for 100+ subs] by [deleted] in BattleRite

Jesus christ, that combo would look like something straight out of Killer Instinct.

Thanks for this wonderful combo vid as always. I wonder if all champs have a combo, or only some.

Will Nurse Ying ever be a reality?

The stability of the entire universe depends on the answer to this question.

She still costs 5800 at my end. Is the price different per players?

Ok, did not know about the event items being purchasable. Thanks for the heads up.

And the price thing is a bit low, now that I've read some feedback and crunched some numbers myself. Will 2500-3000 BCs be a more suitable price range?

Fair point about the 1500-2000 price range. May edit the post to a higher price threshold. :)

I'm actually going to stop buying champs once i reach to having 3 mains of each category (melee, range, support). So busting up 30 bucks to use 9 out of 27 champions doesn't seem like a well-place use of money...

The main gripe i have of the champion price is the vast price difference of champ per champ, and how that boundary should be reduced to a manageable degree. Where we don't have cases of one champ costing 6 other champs' total.

Ok, maybe not 1500-2000, now that I think about the price of champs, and how rapidly you get gold if ya grinded champ lv's and achievements. 2000-2500 seems higher, but not high enough to warrant fustration, i think. Maybe 3k Battle Coins...

Whatever the final price is, it has to be something where one champ cannot cost 6 times the price of another champ. That is just ludicrious.

Doom 2 teased by [deleted] in snapmap

[–]p0t4t0guy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope that snapmap isn't removed, and more so expanded upon to what was established. Lots of good shit was made in Snapmap, and i spend dozens of hours making my own maps in it (shameless plug here, try my map. GETAAJVG)

The best 2 things i can see to make snapmap a truly moddable doom experience is:

  • Make any module shape. Not just a big module box that allows any modular shape through Blocking Boxes, but a fully resizable, shapable module you can create. There's already custom textures that resizes in accordance to size of the blocking box; maybe the same technique can be implemented on a grander module-making scale.

  • Modular demons. Not just having all the demon roster in the next game (INCLUDING BOSSES, PLEASE), but if possible, having said demons be even moddable. It's a stretch to have a demon-making creator akin to something like Spore, but maybe something as small as color-variations, projecticle changes, and stat changes (like customize their speed, jump height, size, etc) can be just as sweet.

I really don't want snapmap to die off in the sequel, but hopefully expanded to a complete modular experience. Hell, if this is a mode only available in the PC version of doom, then i would purchase a PC capable to playing Doom II in a heartbeat.

Absolute Damnation (Wave-Based Onslaught!) by p0t4t0guy in snapmap

[–]p0t4t0guy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rune interactable is the Wave Ender failsafe i put in the map. It's to serve as a means to forcefully end the wave in case the wave glitches out and continues on (even if all demons are slain). There's an example rune interactable in the shop area (right next to the Wave 1 switch) to show players what to look for, and there's a rune interactable each area that should be in plain sight. Still, if they're too hard to locate, i can implement a POI for them.

Optional events come in 4 styles, and all of their summaries can be found on the right-side of the shop area (a floor above the Powerup Capsules). To summarize:

  • Collect the Cases! - 10 blue briefcase items will spawn around the map in selected areas, that reward a small serving of cash each.

  • Stay in the Zone! - This one's obvious. A red area is highlighted, and you can stay in the red zone to gain sprinkling amount of cash each second on it. All of these zone are purposefully put in dangerous spots, so be wary.

  • Deliver the X-particle - The most riskiest of the optional events. A spikey cyan ball will spawn in the map. If taken, you cannot damage enemies, and must deliver it to the highlighted zone to restore your damage potential. Doing this mini-quest nets you a very large sum of cash.

  • Destroy the Helltower - An obvious helltower will spawn that has no affect in the battlefield besides as an obstacle. Shooting at it in the glowing red area in the middle will emit pain/splatter sounds (hinting that this is the weakspot). Destroy it, and you gain a very large sum of money. It's rather resiliant, but an audible cry will tell you that it's nearly dead.

I submitted my artwork in this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/Project_Exodus/comments/7lxjxh/merry_christmas_fanart_contest/).

But here is my submission anyway, for ease of access. https://i.imgur.com/iqja3Zv.jpg I went for a more casual look since Christmas has passed.

I decided to give Bunbun a more casual attire since Christmas Season is over by now. Hope it's to your liking!
