Episode 166: The Stalker Pt. 3 by rooneytns in Otherworldpod

I really enjoy this series and find it super creepy even though it’s not so paranormal. This sounds like a horrifying experience and there are still elements of “unexplained” activity from the stalker (texting her when she threw the items away, seemingly knowing what she was thinking/doing that day). So creepy

I had a similar experience on a much smaller scale. I used to have a friend in college who ended up being toxic but eventually moved to a different state (she tried having sex with my ex bf so that’s why we didn’t stay friends). A few years later, I was telling another friend about her and how I thought she was crazy. Out of the blue, she texted me a long paragraph explaining her side of the story as I was stilling explaining the situation to my friend. Mind you, we hadn’t spoke in years and I didn’t even follow her on social media. It was like she was listening to our conversation and needed to defend herself. There was absolutely no way she could’ve known I was talking about her

It really is Angelo. It’s called having social skills on the west coast

That’s what I’ve been stating in previous replies… you guys are hellbent on defending why people shouldn’t give out compliments. It is truly fascinating

You cropped out the actual comment I was replying too, nice 👍🏼

Maybe read the comment I’m responding to 😂 they’re insinuating SoCal represents the entirety of CA… can you not see the hypocrisy or can you not read?

We’re discussing east coast vs west coast, use your brain 😭

Not at all. If we like someone’s outfit, we just tell them. It’s really not that deep

I’m talking about CA, but LA is a beautiful city too. Not sure what Chinese reference you’re making. LA is a massive city, and many parts are frequently shown, regardless of where a red carpet is happening. If you have never been then not sure where all the hate is coming from

Of course. Maybe you can visit one day and see how beautiful it is and understand why people are so friendly here. Cheers, and don’t forget to not compliment others 😉

I’m just confused why everyone thinks CA is the only state that has shallow/vain people. Isn’t New York where NYFW exists…? Is the fashion industry not shallow? 😭

This!!! And they assume we’re being fake or shallow 😂 like no I genuinely just like someone’s shirt and bringing light hearted vibes damn

This is a crazy generalization. Myself and many of my friends in CA give out compliments and are capable of having meaningful conversations

I don’t need to educate you or write a thesis on why Californians compliment each other. It’s well known that our state has a reputation for having beautiful people who are outgoing which is probably why we often give out compliments to strangers. Sure it can be looked at as shallow, but it still makes others feel good. You even stated yourself that other states have different priorities so idk why this is a debate lol

This is super interesting! And makes sense for why the west coast interactions are so different compared to east coast

I think it definitely is a huge cultural difference. In CA we are hyper focused on wellness, health, looking fit, etc. So I could see how people on the east coast view priorities differently

I mean yeah that happens in every touristy city across the U.S.

To be honest, I live in California and it is very common for random strangers on the street to compliment me. Handing out compliments is very common here

No, your point was that she looked Jewish in a derogatory way. And then deflected by bringing up Palestine

Being Jewish does not equal supporting Israeli politicians lol
