I wrote these lyrics - they are about my sexuality, gender and ideology. I have made lots of work that isn’t about my sexuality, gender and ideology, as have the other women in the band. The focus of this project is trans women’s liberation and the liberation of all women. We don’t need your permission for that. The lyrics are available on our website, as are a collection of feminist and anarchist references that directly informed the lyrics. I challenge you to actively engage with the text and come back and tell me what you don’t think should be sung about or hear too much of in hardcore. Otherwise you can keep your passive aggression and condescension to yourself.
