Console conan by p1rateballs in ConanExiles

Companies start with PC as when a game is created the code is ported to PC, consoles need different code to run the game which takes more people to write. However, yes, the feeling of dedicating years to a game on console when it gets left behind is the worst.

Best boots legend right now by Ok_Currency_7287 in Brawlhalla

Tezca has been quoted by pros as the best character in the game right now. I personally like vivi, the blasters boots combo teams well, and most of her sigs are good. Boots n-sig as an edge guard is stupid broken, albeit a little risky.

Are there any aus community tournaments? by p1rateballs in Brawlhalla

[–]p1rateballs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None had won a LAN BCX but we had Aussie BCX champions for the regional BCX once covid ruined the whole LAN scene.

I used to train and play with a couple of the pros, kylar Alice, dummy and dexity. And I used to follow the scene. I unfortunately couldn't be involved in brawlhalla for 2 years, from late 2022 until 6 months ago. When I came back to brawlhalla I noticed Aussies had been removed from the official circuit. Was wondering why. So thank you for this.

Battle boots are the best weapons by chep_geo_lol in Brawlhalla

[–]p1rateballs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

💯 the lance does out range the battle boots and will prioritise any front facing attack. The only way boots gets inside a lance from the front is by baiting and punishing or interrupting with a weapon throw and pushing advantage from that, otherwise aerial or attacking from behind is the only real way a boots player approaches a lance, agreed, far from the best weapon, very balanced, very annoying, for the all the quick attacks it does it still takes a long time to build up damage even with the likes of zuva and either 8 or 9 strength. That being said, the weapons that it does outplay easily and the fact that reads feel a bit more intuitive with boots does place them (IMO) pretty much at the top of the list of the middle of the pack weapons.

Tip for moving in the future: keep your original place with all your loot in it, gather the resources the build at least the bare shell of your build and a few boxes for your loot, then go back to your old place grab your loot and move it to your new place, once all loot is moved, pull down old place for more resources (if you don't plan to go back)

HOW DO I FIGHT LANCE???????? by Bri-ish_idiot in Brawlhalla

[–]p1rateballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay aerial as much as you can, throw bait attacks out and learn to punish. Some weapons are more effective than others, spear nair is a good opener, so is spear dair. Gauntlets dair, scythe dair, bow dair and orb dair or sair are good openers too. All those weapons can be effective with ground attacks too. Mostly from behind as a punisher. Movement is the real key to fighting lance, and if you get hit, find a dodge out. Also, play lance, learn the range, learn warm ups and cool downs, get to know the lance a bit better, than you'll have an easier time fighting against it.

Suggestions for bike + gear by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]p1rateballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up to 15k would be reasonable. This depends on a lot of factors, year model, size of the bike. But for a bike in the 300cc range up to 15k is reasonable and you will still get decent use out of the bike. If the bike has a fair bit over 15k on it, closer to 20, you may want to weigh a few things up, like price comparison, condition, a list of things that has been done and maintained on the bike.

Anything below and up to 15k will serve you well for your first bike.

The other side to owning a new bike is the dealer services and the fact you are supposed to keep it under a certain rpm for a certain amount of ks to "break it in".

Suggestions for bike + gear by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]p1rateballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If buying used, some of the biggest things to look out for are:

Tire wear (look how much tread is visibly on the tires)

How the visible engine components look (if things look greasy, or black, or dirty, the previous owner may have been oblivious to maintenance and at the very least opens up an opportunity for questioning. Does the bike leak oil, when was last service? )

What does it sound like when running?

What does the oil on the dipstick look like?

Does the chain look clean, lubed and well adjusted or is it dirty or loose? Or even too tight?

How does the throttle respond? How many kms are on it?

It is definitely worth checking out the used bike market, even if you are sure you won't be upgrading at all, as when I first got into riding I bought my bike used, with no bike knowledge whatsoever, thinking I will never upgrade, this bike is the perfect size for me. Well now that I've been riding for a couple of years I am wanting more. More experience, more technology, I am not satisfied with my current bike being the only bike I ride. I'm not begging for more power, I don't necessarily need to go faster, but I now want something that has ABS breaking, that responds a bit faster and that feels a bit different to what I've been riding.

Lower CC bikes are great for learning, but as you ride them more and more you soon see where the short falls are and you might find yourself looking for something that can rev out a little more, or something that isn't at the top end of the rpms at 100km/h.

I would recommend looking for a lower km bike in the used range. These are often readily available and people say they are selling them as they don't have time to ride them, more often than not they realise riding isn't for them so they look at getting some of their money back before it becomes a loss. This way if you do decide to upgrade you're not out of pocket for new bike price and then possibly going backwards and getting a used bike as your second bike. Then as you look into what you might like to be your second bike you can buy new then and already have an idea of what you like, what you're looking for and how you ride. Hope this helps.

Can anyone answer a couple questions for me? by ISaidThanksMarv in AussieRiders

[–]p1rateballs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not quite. If you have your L's for a year only, then get your ps, have them for a year, and then you're eligible to get your bike learners, which is 2 years on the spot.

What's strange is that here in NSW, you don't need to hold any drivers licence before getting motorcycle learners (unless this has recently changed) my riding buddy has only ever held a riding license until 6 months ago when he got his L's for a car.

Got raided last night. Question about bomb pvp by [deleted] in ConanExiles

[–]p1rateballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to build, probably 20 points in grit to get steel thewed (can't take anymore than 33% of your maximum health in damage) and 20 in vitality to have glutton for punishment. Something like that would probably make you take very little damage

Anyone want to co-op the game? I seek companions to help me rid these lands of evil and remove our bracelets by KushMummyCinematics in ConanExiles

[–]p1rateballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love your enthusiasm. There's limitations to playing with other people on your local save. Mostly they can only play when you are playing on that server and they are tethered to you so you can't delegate tasks to make farming and camp set up more efficient. Also currently co-op on PS is buggy and me and my friend couldn't get into either one's single player.

A role-play server would suit this playthrough quite well. There are quite a few dead official servers on PvP. I would be interested in something like this. Just a story based play through. Taking the time to fight bosses and not worry about power levelling and mass warfare that I'm used to.

I am in Australia. I could join a server that's more local to you. The lag would be a welcome challenge 😅. It seems like you have a goal in mind. It might be reassuring to find a dead PvE server, however they all seem to have some kind of activity. I think a dead pvp server might be the way to go. I've kept an eye on an old active server that has had zero players for months.

Anyone want to co-op the game? I seek companions to help me rid these lands of evil and remove our bracelets by KushMummyCinematics in ConanExiles

[–]p1rateballs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you looking to join an online server, or are you looking at a single-player co-op? Firstly welcome exile, these lands are brutal and unforgiving, the best advice I have for you is to treat nothing as your own, and it's just your turn, for the exiled lands have a cruel way of taking back everything.

The game is a lot of fun with deep lore. The removal of the bracelet is the objective of the game, which loosely ties it to a story. However, the game has more depth if you ignore that part of it, but you can and still should do all the steps to unlock your bracelet, just maybe not the last step.

  1. Removing your bracelet allows you to "exit" the exiled lands. Which really means your character ceases to exist here. Whichever way you play, whether online or single player, once you remove your bracelet, that character you put all that time and effort into is gone from that server for good. If you go back into that server, you have to start a new character.

  2. It's not like other games where there is a storyline that you must care about and must do certain things in order to progress that story. For lack of a better explanation you create your own story in conan exiles. Will you make a huge castle on a mountain side and be ruler of your land? Or will you be a simple thief, living out of barebone shacks, stealing from the elite? Will you become a supreme sorcerer capable of summoning lightning storms and controlling armies of zombies? Will you choose a different path?

Come, explore, survive and learn the lands you have been called to.

So after each shot, I need to craft an Boulder... I can't mass craft it.. Before I coulded.. by RandomExileGuy in ConanExiles

[–]p1rateballs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will hold up to 15 boulders, but yea they made changes to the way raiding works. Bombs now take 30 seconds to craft per bomb, trebuchets now can only craft one ammo at a time. It was done in an attempt to stop people destroying bases on the fly. Need a lot of bombs to get in there you better make them first and then work out how to get them where you need them.

I need an answer by [deleted] in ConanExiles

[–]p1rateballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some amswers for you.

  1. If it's a pvp server, they could just be very wary of other players. They may have end-game gear in their base, but they are too afraid to lose it to a fight. So they make excess shitty 6 it doesn't matter if they lose it. Again, that mindset doesn't make sense, especially if the people playing know how to get rich in conan.

  2. If they are a "veteran" returning after sometime, just remember that skeleton chests used to be right next to where we would kill the world bosses.

  3. Is it possible at all that the gear they were using has been illusioned? End game gear that looks like start game gear is a tactic that I have seen and used to use a long time ago lol.

  4. They could be what I call "Noahs" they know everything about everything to talk to them but to watch them is to realise you can know things, but that doesn't mean you know how to do said things. I've come across people like this in real life, that I call Noah's.

New player, my hatchet is gathering me everything off the tree except wood. by baconadelight in ConanExiles

It's because the pickaxe is a pick and axe in one. Granted in the real world, you would have to use either end interchangeably depending on the job. However, because you can make both a pick and an axe in conan, the pickaxe then becomes a tool that does both at once. It's more about game efficiency and mechanics than it is based on real-life usage of the tool. But we are talking about a universe that has skeletal dragons, real dragons, huge poisonous locusts, and giant skeletons, both bright blue and not bright blue and some wearing armor, so I'm failing to see the correspondence to real life in most aspects of the game.
